  1. My surgeons office is submitting everything for approval today. They are trying to fast track me after three months of the supervised diet. The tests that were required were: -Psychological -EGD -Pulmonary Function Test -Cardiac Clearance (EKG) -Bloodwork (11 vials worth) -Nutrition (2 visits-1 group, 1 individual) If I hadn't already had my gallbladder out 7 years ago I would have had to do an ultrasound to check that out. I already have severe sleep apnea, first tested in 2008. The insurance coordinator said we should know something as early as tomorrow but no later than Tuesday. 2. They are delicious! Especially with coconut milk. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hey everyone! 6 years ago when I had my gallbladder removed the surgeon told me to lay flat when I got home so the gas didn't get trapped in the shoulder area. I had no pain from the gas and wondering if that would be a good idea after I have the VSG. I will of course ask the surgeon but I'm curious now Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I didn't realize they made such a large water bottle that was insulated! I was coming up blank for what I wanted my husband to get me for Christmas. Perfect! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. My surgeon or nutritionist hasn't mentioned either Soda or coffee and there is nothing in my surgery manual about avoiding these items. That being said, the first thing I cut out was Soda. The big 44oz cup of Big Red from the local gas station had to go! I don't even want to think about the calories that were in that one drink. I'm Soda free for over three months and honestly don't miss it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Mine was super easy too. I remember looking at the clock when they gave me the "sleepy" meds, it was 12:02, when I woke up it was 12:18. I was out of the hospital by 12:30. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Good Morning! I just had an eye surgery on Tuesday and threw up immediately after waking. They gave me Zofran and Pepcid in my IV before surgery but obviously this didn't help. I've been lurking on the site for months and have read some of your posts about a pill to take and a patch for behind the ear. I just can't remember what was the best to combat the nausea. I really don't want to throw up after this surgery. Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. I just recently told my husband how much I weighed when I talked to him about having the surgery. I was embarrassed to tell him I weighed the same amount as him. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
