Thanks @@janedoe92 I'm not really familiar with GERD, my only concern about Bypass is that they say complications are a little more common that's why I was hoping for sleeve procedure I'm also concerned of how long bypass surgery is, I've heard different things... Well I'm done with my list !! But..... Now I have to get cleared by a Neurologist due to a small amount of Fluid accumulation in my neck from an epidural procedure gone wrong also I was told by the surgeon that he cannot and will not perform sleeve surgery because in one of my test it shows I have chronic acid reflux. So I'm done with the 6 month visits & tests come to find out I was told that the surgeon decided he cannot do the sleeve surgery due to chronic acid reflux,to add on I have a fatty liver wich he said it's not too bad,mild sleep apnea, stomach bacteria, and I have to be cleared by a neurologist due to a small amount of Fluid accumulated in my neck from an epidural procedure gone wrong Because of the chronic acid reflux he decided Gastric Bypass is more convenient because sleeve surgery will only make it worse (sighs) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hey everyone, well I am done with the psych evaluation and I think it went pretty well. I was asked quite a few questions wich is part of the process. Only catch was he wanted to delay my psych approval because he wanted me to attend a few sessions wich would mean 5-6 weeks !!!!! I wasn't too happy and explained to him that Wat he wanted me to take therapy for was not part of the reason why I was there he was suppose to talk about weight-loss etc. He actually agreed and gave me the ok so now I meet with my surgeon and hope for the very best!!!! Well I had a baby oct of 2015 I had an epidural and unfortunately that didn't go well as a result I had spinal headaches and I STILL hav a leak from my spine that needs to be patched BUT they never listened to me until my General Doc finally listened and gav me an MRI and it was confirmed I hav Fluid settled in my neck now I also need to be drained I'm wondering if that will be an I say for them not to giv me Sleeve Surgery Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hello everyone I am new here and no I have not had my sleeve surgery as of yet. I'm still in process but almost done ! One more support group,Psych Evaluation,& Final Appt. 8/18/2016 !! I'm very excited BUT extremely nervous.
