  2. Just read that recommendation....I think it's fabulous and VERY doable thank you madadams ! [emoji106]
  3. I'm in the 13th too!! Inhiskingdom re flying my surgeon said that short hall can be OK after a couple of weeks but it should be considered at the time. I've just cancelled a trip to the UK early October. But to be honest that's because I don't fancy being ill that far from home.
  4. Not thought about the 13th yet. I've focused on the post op.I will be plopping it be this time next week though [emoji29]
  5. I'm in my two week pre-op. I had the same concern. I'm not a big eater but eat the wrong stuff at the wrong time. I had no appetite but when I ate I went for it. (And with a tipple) My metabolism had stalled...I never felt hunger. Since Monday.... I have drank well and eaten my Dieticians plan.....I'm starving! The reason. My body has kick started! Im delighted. I will need will power to get me through the next 10 days but hey not a big sacrifice to save /extend my life. If I can do what I'm doing today, and trust what the besleevers and my surgeon advise about the sleeve controlling the hunger while the body and mind get to work on getting to and sustaining a better prolonged life.... I'm in. We all need to make life decision I made one to extend mine. Surgery date 9/13!
  6. It appears that UK and US pre and post op is very different .
  7. Top tip thanks madadams. I've been testing out Protein shakes this week ....quite a few I like and maxi has 30g per shake. Any tips there?
  8. I'm on day two of prep and all going well. I'm not a big eater so touch wood, all Good!! Thanks
  9. Gina I'm PRE OP [emoji106]
  10. So today is my first day of pre-op. Being in the UK it's bedtime soon so I've had my day and all has gone well! I'm not really an eater so the lack of intake is ok with me. Water, Protein shake, water, water and 3oz of roast beef with a good salad. I'm sure it will get 'tense' as I head towards the op on September 13th (thankfully not a Friday!) I had a great party this weekend where I drank for to much as I said goodbye to Alcohol.... For now. So I'm starting my journey at 358lbs. Apprehensive, nervous not knowing what you don't know BUT double exited. A lot of you guys have inspired me to get this done and if I get anywhere near your successes. I will be delighted. Ollie
