  9. I'm getting sleeved in November and I have 2 young ones. 11 mo and 2.5 yo. I've heard recovery is easier than a c-section! My kids are home with me all day and my husband only comes on weekends. My Mom is coming from Colorado to help me for two weeks while I recover. She doesn't want me lifting. I think since all your kids are walking you will be fine. The main thing is lifting them. 11. I was going to write this exact post! I'm tentatively scheduled to get the sleeve on Nov 15. I'm also nervous about my habits. I don't graze though. I actually don't eat anything all day then at night when the kids go to bed I eat and eat and eat and eat. I do not stop! I don't get very full either! I go for everything! I should be following a diet right now but I'm not. My mindset at night is...I can eat this now because I won't ever be able to eat it again come November. I know I shouldn't think this way but I am. **hangs head in shame** I'm very nervous that after my sleeve I'm going to have major withdrawals from sugar and carbs and have a hard time staying off the junk later on down the road. I think all the suggestions above are great! I'm totally subscribing to this. Anyway sorry I didn't meant to thread jack! Good luck with your surgery! We should keep in touch since my surgery is only a few days after yours. Maybe we can help each other stay on the ball Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. I'm in the same boat. Well sorta. My son is 18 lbs and I'll be getting surgery in November. I was told I can't lift anything above 20lbs for 6 weeks. So my mom is coming from Colorado to help with the babies for 3 weeks then I'm on my own. In your case, I would try to find someone to come help you for the first week at least! Do you have any family that can come stay for a week? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Wow... Crazy!!! Any updates? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. That's awful!!! I'm sure that was very hard! I'm glad to hear that you finally got your surgery though! I was very worried that would happen to me until I saw my NUT yesterday. She said that they won't postpone it if I'm iron deficient. I said are you sure? She said she's positive. So I feel better about it now. Still kind of nervous though! 22. I'm in the same boat! My last wl appt is 1 month from today. Hoping to get surgery in November. I'm also totally nervous there are going to be insurance issues. I actually asked my office "if I don't get approved do you all fight for me?" They assured me that they do. Anyway, Good luck! Yay! new life here we come!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Oh wow! That's what I'm worried about! Sorry they postponed you!! That must've been very hard! I'm so excited about this surgery that I would be devastated if they postponed it! I also have extremely heavy periods. I've never heard of an ablation. Totally going to google that! I would love to have something that could slow my flow, I had no idea that was possible. I'm going to go out and find the best iron possible and drink all the oj and Vitamin C supplements now! Thank you all for this advice! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. How many milligrams twice a day? Maybe I should do 2 a day to be safe. What was your iron level before you started supplements? Mine was 7, which I think is VERY low. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. I am also vitamin d and Iron deficient. Is ferrous sulfate better? Why that and not iron supplements I wonder? ETA: Never mind.. I just looked it up. Looks like it's easier to digest and won't make me constipated. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
