  6. Hi ladies, Has anyone had an IUD and had wls? I've had my IUD now for almost a year and I'm terrified about having to take it out. Is it really necessary to take out for this surgery? Any thoughts or advice would be great! Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. Hi ladies! I do have insurance, but I'm a nurse and I have the hospital insurance! My surgery is covered 100% and I don't have to do any supervised weightloss! I just wanted to know what the average wait time was for people who have the same "insurance requirements" as me?! Good luck to all of you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  17. Whenever you have surgery and you're under anesthesia it's protocol to be kept on oxygen! I'm an RN. It's normal to be connected to a whole bunch of wires and IV lines especially an hour after surgery! It's the most crucial time if something were to happen! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Ugh!!!! I don't want to wait that long! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. What insurance do you have? If you don't mind me asking? I'm hoping I don't have to wait 3 months and LOL sometimes being a nurse makes things 100 times worse because we know exactly what to expect and we know the things that happen in the field haha! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I'm an RN, and my anxiety level about the surgery is insane, but I think it has more to do with the excitement of this new journey! If you're worried about the surgery itself, you won't remember or feel a thing. Anesthesiologist are at the head of the bed and will ensure that you wake up at the end of your surgery.....and IF you don't, there are medications that will wake you up! I assure you that it won't be a problem! Anyhow, I'm seeing my surgeon in 2 weeks! How long did it take you all to get a surgery date? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Good morning! Good luck to you all! Speedy recovery! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
