  1. Wooohooo!!! Congratulations!!! You're doing amazing! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Good luck! You'll do great. I was sleeved 10 days ago and feel awesome. The first three days are the hardest because of the gas pains, but everyday gets SO much better. And you're going to do great since you understand walking is key! Keep us updated! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Lol, I enjoyed everyone's apologetic responses. Hey, a girl can dream! Day 40 will be spent enjoying blue points and day 41 will be sashimi day. Perhaps 42 will be escargot....mmm then king crab! ❤️ #seafoodsleever Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. God that looks delicious Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Hi everyone! I know that we can eventually have oysters and sashimi, but I'm wondering if they're acceptable options on the soft foods plan? And, if so, if anyone tried them & what their sleeve's reaction was. These are my two favorite foods, so I want to reintroduce them successfully! I am only 10 days out from surgery, but I'm SO excited to eat real food that I'm meal planning now to kill some post-surgery, recovery boredom. Thanks!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Thanks @@Alex Brecher. Looking soooo forward to 8/5. Ricotta bake & refried beans! (Literally never thought these particular foods would excite me so much!) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. Just remember if insurance won't cover you and you feel you absolutely must have the surgery, you can finance a vastly cheaper sleeve by excellent doctors in Mexico. I got sleeved at OCC by Dr. Ortiz just 9 days ago and feel amazing! Good luck on your continued recovery! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  8. Sounds like good advice. Will do. Thank you @@Daisee68! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. @@Daisee68 Definitely Vitamin Water Zero!! and my dr prescribed me something to take called inhibitron f (omeprazol) which is supposed to protect stomach lining from acid. Is that the same as a PPI? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. You look awesome! #slaythatwaist How tall are you? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. Is coffee okay?? I thought coffee post-op was dangerous to your stomach lining? I'm 8 days post-op and would kill for my morning cup!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I think really well, but it's super early! SW: 180 Pre-op Weight: 173 CW: 165.4 (I'm 7 days post-op). I'm struggling with hunger. This liquid diet situation is killing me. How about you? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Thanks @kbuck3779. 10 more days of this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. I am so so sorry. I truly hope the worst is over and it's all easier from this point onward. Sending healing thoughts. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. Update: Day 7 post-op. Water: 32oz Vitamin Water: 32oz Protein: 90 grams, premier Protein Amy's Organic Tomato Soup: half can sugar free Jello: 2 Sugar free Popsicle: 1 It's 8:52pm. I'm hungry. I'm going for a 2 mile walk now to get my mind off of it. Please give me some suggestions on what I'm doing wrong, could do better. All I want to do is eat a can of Peanut Butter. I won't. But I da*^ well want to. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. No, but my dr warned me that a high fat diet with our tiny stomachs could lead to major gallbladder issues. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Okay, the recipe I read called for full-fat cheese. @@JamieLogical I was warned that high fat would make me feel awful, which is my main concern with the bake. I mean, I *might* have already bought the ingredients to make it...). So if everyone says it's a green light dish, count me in!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. @@daniotra I read the recipe for ricotta bake, and it sounds super high fat for the soft foods period. It definitely sounds delicious, but is it really acceptable??? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. @@sonardms I think liquid just goes immediately from your stomach to your small intestine, so you're not feeling the restriction. I think this because of how the barium swallow worked. I watched the x rays as I swallowed and it was in my small intestine in less than 30 seconds. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  22. I'm hoping real food is the answer. I have NO problem putting down Protein shakes. I easily get 3 in and could get more if I wanted to - which I don't. I feel great, I'm happy with my weight loss, I love this surgery - I was just reallllly hoping it would take my cravings away. That being said, when I reach my goal, I will try a couple things I crave and see if I get negative effects. That will be an interesting experiment. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App @@slimbrick we've got this! Countdown to soft foods!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. I'm 6 days post-op. I've read that you don't get hungry or get cravings post surgery. ???? This girl is hungry. Every time I smell food. See food. Think about food I wish I could eat. I know I'm about to get a bunch of responses about "head hunger", but I legit feel the same hunger as I did pre-op. The good news is that 3 sips of a Protein shake makes it go away. The bad news is that 20 minutes later I'm hungry again. Anybody else? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. Thanks @cindyw41. That sounds awful Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. At the risk of sounding really ignorant, what is dumping? I got sleeved 7/22 and my doctor, NUT and all of my paperwork never mentioned it as a potential risk...? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
