  15. All liquids taste the same as before the surgery to me. I have no trouble drinking fresh juices & coffee. It's only Water that's a problem Sent from my SM-N910C using the BariatricPal App You can have any non caloric drink - Powerade Zero, Vitamin Water Zero, Crystal Light, MiO drops, infused water, broth, sugar free popsicles. Be sure to stay hydrated!Thx for the advice. I'll try one of these Sent from my SM-N910C using the BariatricPal App
  16. I am 8 weeks post lap sleeve & I noticed that 2 weeks after the surgery I started to feel noxious whenever I drink Water. I get thirsty yet still cannot drink water because it tastes different. I heard this is a common complaint in sleeve pts but what is the solution? I do not drink enough water & sometimes have to force myself to take sips during the day in fear of dehydration. I hope there is a way out of this because no one can simply stop drinking water! Thx in advance Sent from my SM-N910C using the BariatricPal App

  20. This pain is normal. I had it radiating to my left shoulder. My surgeon explained that it's bcoz during surgery they have to cut some blood vessels connecting the stomach to the spleen & the pain is due to a part of the spleen deprived of its blood supply. It's called splenic infarction. I hope u feel better soon Sent from my SM-N910C using the BariatricPal App

  22. I'm taking in about 700 -800 calories a day. My activity level is still quite low too because I fatigue easily. Right now I get my protein from chicken noodle soup blended with some chicken, egg white (I ate it twice & gave me a tummy upset all day so I stopped eating it) and light cheese. I do not live in the United States so I don't have the Protein shakes u do. This week I'm supposed to start on a larger variety of food so hopefully my protein sources will be more Sent from my SM-N910C using the BariatricPal App
  23. Yes, I too plateaued for about a week. I was sleeved on 11th July & over the next 2 weeks I lost 17.5 lbs. The third week I lost nothing. Just today I weighed myself & thankfully found that I had lost 2 more pounds. My surgeon told me that people with a high BMI tend to plateau on weeks 5 & 6. My BMI was 34.5 on the day of my surgery (which wasn't that high) so I plateaued on weeks 3 & 4 instead. He encouraged me to start hitting the gym, but I'm still light-headed because my caloric intake is so low, so I cannot exercise at the moment to help shed the weight off. Good luck with ur weight loss. It's bound to come off eventually Sent from my SM-N910C using the BariatricPal App

  26. I'm on my 5th day post gastric sleeve & have cravings too. I guess are brains still long for our pre op lifestyles of being able to eat rich food at all times. The surgery was done to the stomach not the brain. Our brains are pretty much the same as always. Sent from my SM-N910C using the BariatricPal App Sent from my SM-N910C using the BariatricPal App
  27. I'm on my 5th day post lap sleeve & 2 of my incision wounds are indented, precisely the 2nd & the 4th. I guess this is just temporary. Just relax & take it day by day. The scar issue will hopefully resolve over time Sent from my SM-N910C using the BariatricPal App
