I start the liquid diet tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'm more stressed for the surgery, or more from trying to lose the pre surgery weight. I dont have the blood sugar issues, but just had my preop physical and my GP said my heart murmer sounded different so now I have to go for an echo and ultrasound. Praying its nothing. Thought I'd start a thread for those that are having their surgery July 26th so we can all vent/compare how we are feeling at each stage of the journey. How is everyone feeling at this point? I'm 7/26 too!! 3 weeks?!! Ugh!! I have my pre op appointment Tuesday and will find out what my diet will be then. But thankfully it's only a week. Good luck with everything!!Im also July 26th. We are sleeve sisters! Mine is July 26th also. I meet with my surgeon tomorrow to get preop diet, etc. The closer it gets, the more nervous I get! I'm in the same boat as you. On top of it, I've put all these things I want to get done b4 the surgery on my plate (have windows and carpets washed, house clean, laundry done, etc.) I know realistically what gets done gets done and what doesnt is no big deal. The fear of the unkown is what we have right now and there's nothing we can do about it till we are going through it. (Except ask lots of questions, watch youtube vids of other people's experiences and read) We will be fine, and we will take it one hour/day at a time. Thank you so much for sharing! It helps my anxiety so much to hear details from someone that went thru it from the same hosp. I'm glad it wasnt terrible for you and you are on the other side seeing the goodness in it all.

I'm assuming you know how awesome everyone at Unity is. The whole experience hasn't been bad at all. Surgery, we'll post surgery and a couple days after are the worst. Once past that it's on! Good luck with pre-op. Your day will be here before you know it! Did the hospital give you an abdominal binder to take home? Any packing advice? (Did they encourage/discourage gas x, etc) How long did u stay at hosp? What kind of OTC pain meds are u taking? What has been your experience with taking meds/vitamins? Did u have own room or share? I meet with Dr Friday for preop visit. Thanks in advance - My daye is two weeks from today and I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed

My surgeon says no scrambled eggs for 1st 6 mos. Can clog. Hard boiled or soft cooked ok. For some reason the scrambled dont break down well enough Sent from my VS990 using the BariatricPal App
