  2. I am new here too. I was banded on Feb 13/08 in Mexicali, Mexico by Dr. Aceves. I still have terrible gas pains. I was told to keep walking to work it out. Be careful not to swallow air when you drink, no straws and no gum. I'm sleeping in my lazy boy for now. I was told it could take a month to be able to sleep on the left side. I can hardly wait. My post-op diet does not allow any solid food for at least 30 days in order to let the stomach heal. I was also told the key is to make sure you get 70 g of protein/day and you shouldn't be hungry, so far so good.
