  2. I agree. I’m going to speak with my bariatric surgeon and ask for a referral. Not only to an endo but a new gp. My gp is retiring at the end of the year so not like he will miss me. My numbers haven’t been right since 2005 when I did the radiation. Actually before but just sayin. Not like he hasn’t had enough time to figure this out. My tsh is always low but my t4 has been running normal.
  3. How do you get your Dr to work with you to find the right thyroid meds for you? My GP handles my thyroid and he’s lousy. I told him I need to go to a specialist imo but he isn’t referring me. I don’t have a functioning thyroid. I took the radio active pill to kill it years ago. I’m 10 months po and have not lost anything for 3 mo [emoji24]. My gp lowered my levothyroxine from 150 mcg to 125 mcg 3 mo ago. My #’s haven’t been right since I started taking thyroid meds. I started adding genpro to my daily diet to boost my protein hoping the extra protein would restart the losing. Not helping. AM - genpro in 2-3 oz premier protein chocolate. 30 G protein am snack- 2 oz pistachios 12 G protein Lunch - 3 oz tuna 25 G protein Dinner- 2 oz filet 15 G protein 1/2 c low-fat cottage cheese 13 G protein Pm snack- yogurt 12 G protein 107 G protein total

  20. I wish I could be as organized as you Aleathia. If I manage to take stuff out of the bag and put in pantry it gets stuffed where there is room on any shelf. Then I wonder why I can't find it. Tomorrow I'm going to look at your pic for inspiration. Well maybe not tomorrow but someday soon Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  21. Yes. This is definitely a roller coaster ride. Up one minute, down the next. Just hang in there and keep on fighting because in the end you will succeed. Maybe you could send in everything you do have and they won't notice 2014 isn't in there. And you can honestly say that your physician said she was going to submit it. I find going into the office and making them tell me to my face gets more than if I just call. I've even sat my fat a** down until someone gave me what I wanted. Yes I did. Got it though. 22. I'm with you mrstkgreene. I've got your back. You cheated. You had chicken fingers and fries. Not the end of the world. I bet it was good too! Move on. Tomorrow is another day. It'll be ok. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Omg I was laughing so hard I could barely read it to my HB. He asked if I wrote it. He knows how weak I am and this is exactly how I will probably do. That or he may have to move in with his mother until my surgery day because I'm sure it will be h*ll at my house. I will switch from nice to ugly on the flip of a dime. I KNOW the pre op diet is going to hard hard hard. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. When I called Medicare I also asked if I decided to get it done in another state if the rules applied to me or the state I had surgery performed in. The person I spoke with said the state I have sleeve performed in. I live on the border of Illinois and Indiana so if I go to Indianapolis to get surgery Medicare payment is governed by Indiana. So if anyone lives in a state that doesn't pay you should try going to another state to have surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  26. I didn't consider Springfield. I should have. I have an appt tomorrow in champaign. I've also contacted dr Lufti in chgo. I've heard he's suppose to be very good. I just hate chgo traffic. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
