    Unsupportive fiance

My greatest regret was not doing it sooner when I wanted to, but doing it later because I had to!!! I wasted years living a life I didn't need to. Don't do the same and listen to all of the great aforementioned advice. He, your family and friends don't fully understand what you're going through. You do!!! Proceed... Coke zero

No one on this site would be here if we all couldn't have used some tough and candid feedback with our issues of which got us all here. AC Jordan is on point and her direct feedback is on point. We have all drank and eaten beyond the norm. This is your chance to make better decisions outside of what you'd like to put into your body with what you need to. Breaking any rules this early is a slippery slope and indicative of things to come. Stick to what you know needs to be done so you develop sustainable habits for the rest of your life. I'm 9 weeks out and down 42 pounds. Listening to these responses and writing this Message is a great reminder for me too to not deviate as my old self would have, but to just yield to the new me. Don't take anything personally, it's all to help. If you ended up never having that soda, it worked... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Introduction...

D'sleeved, I battled obesity for 20 years of every diet under the sun, shame, guilt, and addiction. The only regret I have is that I didn't do it sooner. I'm 8 weeks out and already down over 40 pounds. IMPOSSIBLE to have accomplished that any other way. My life has changed and the light at the end of the tunnel shines like never before. I don't miss food and just can't stop thinking about being healthy in a way I never have before. Absolutely, 101 percent tell your family!!! Do you really think your struggle with food will be a surprise to them? The beauty is your doing something extreme about it because you know, in ways they won't ever fully understand, that this is what you have to do, period. Having their support on this journey will truly help and make it easy when you're declining second helpings and toxic foods. Do it, own it, share it, and enjoy a life you have entirely forget ten about. It's exciting! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Insurance denied!

Mine was denied too and in the end, I paid out of pocket. I paid $21K in the end and in retrospect, I would have paid $100K. I spent everything I had and I was reborn again from doing so. I hope the appeal goes through but if not, how much is LIFE worth to you??? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    July Surgery

Hey ladies...I had GB almost two months ago and have never felt better!!! I've lost 40 pounds already and it's been absolutely amazing not living life full golf guilt, shame, and obsession over my next meal. If you're worried about what may happen when you do it, reroute your thoughts to what will inevitably happen if you don't. Complications result usually in those who are much much older AND do not follow the meal plan. Stay hydrated, eat as instructed, and you'll be more than fine. Do not worry!!! Be excited...your lives are truly about to change in ways I forgot I had forgotten about... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
