  1. Cypress/Houston here, getting sleeved Monday by Dr Mehta
  2. Have her reach out to her doctor to ensure there is no medical complication causing the continuation of weightloss. In rare situations Weight-loss surgery can trigger rare genetic wasting disorder. If doctors checks her/him/you out and medically everything looks good most likely will ask what the current caloric intake is, fats, carbs and sugars, as well as exercise routine to help modify it making recommendations for increased consumption in certain categories along with follow up visits to ensure everything is working to put them on track to be healthy.
  3. I think it's the perfect time of year for this. Think of all the poofy sweater, jackets ect. You're shedding all this weight. Come summer when you are able to wear form fitting clothes everyone's gonna be floored!
  4. My doctor says nothing thicker than baby food or that needs chewing, so when I go on purée no tuna or anything chunky like that. So was excited to try something I don't have to purée myself or Jarred baby foods lol
  5. HEB is a grocery store, I'm in the Houston area not sure if there anywhere north
  6. Bless you sarandipityhappen I think I'd hurt someone. I'm already super grouchy! Had to quit smoking and no caffeine, now no foods but have to keep telling myself I get sleeved Monday ill survive. I know we're on this same diet post sleeve but figure the nausea and pain will make me now care about what everyone's eating lol
  7. How it going for everyone on pre op liquid only diet? First day I've actually had to cook, omg the house smells heavenly. Son was at his dads first few days at dinner time, fiancé been eating at his place. Their both home tonight and I'd kill to even lick the carrots! Lol! How's everyone handling it?
  8. Actually they are shelf meals. They were between the ensure and the isopures
  9. I found these today at HEB
  10. Glad I'm not the only one, feel horrible because I broke down and ate a cheese stick and apple slices lol. I'm on the no food liquids, protein drink, jello week. Ugh. I hate jello! Refocused and will behave, I don't want my weakness to cause me to not be sleeved. We can do it
  11. Had a girl friend have bypass, she was 300+ married to a stick (nice guy, very thin) he loved her unconditionally, but unfortunately looked like she settled for him because she "couldn't do better" after being together for around 7+ yrs. soon as the weight started comin off shed leave him home with the baby (1-2yr old can't remember) to go party and drink at bars. Soon as she got down to around 180lbs she divorced him for a guy she meet in a bar. Statistically the spouses arent crazy for being insecure that the party that had surgery will leave, because they normally do. It's a sad truth.
  12. At the grocery store HEB, they were by where they keep the ensure shake and isopure
  13. I'm a single parent so with healing and taking care of my little one I'm very pleased with the nutritional values considering their under 300 calories, have Protein and I'm only going to be able to so a table spoon or so at a time for meals so 1 7oz container should last me a bit.
  14. I've told close friends and family and that's about it. I work in a very caty environment where everyone one talks mess about everyone. I've only had a few show indication they'd prefer I don't do it, but most have been very supportive or jealous lol. Funny thing about secrets, you guys will get a kick out of this story: Tuesday, leaving doctors office to go to medical center to see anesthesiologist ran into a co-worker in waiting room who was just as shocked and deer and headlight look when we saw each other. So cat was out of the bag for both of us. Turns out she had bypass done last week lol, and doesn't plan on letting anyone know. So sometimes we have to own up and share even when we don't want to lol. I say it's none their business until you want it to be. Also my son (5yrs old) and ex husband think I'm having my gallbladder removed. Son because I don't want to scare him or accidentally tell his dad.
  15. Ok so let you down with hopes of tasty Protein drink when it has too many calories & sugars (it'll be my when I need something good but don't wanna cheat drink) Well tried Isopure PLUS Zero Carb Protein Drink Zero Sugar ALPINE PUNCH Actually doesn't taste bad, use lots of ice, just has a sharp after taste, almost bitter. Makes my tongue feel dried up lol. But I really like them! Best thing only 8fl oz, 60 cal, 0 sugar, 0 carb, 15g protein.
