  3. I have been doing the treadmill and I have some hand weights that I do a routine with in my living room on alternating days. I have also been taking the stairs at work and things like just parking further from the door wherever I go. I honestly haven't been like killing myself with exercise but have been doing 45 minutes to an hour of some type of movement about 5-6 days a week. Thanks! That gives me a lot of hope. I have been increasing my walking already and will try to incorporate some type of workout at home. Just wanted to see if it was more beneficial to join a gym, which I really didn't want to have to do. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
  4. You look great! Can I ask, what type of exercises did you do and how frequently? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
  5. Your clothes will actually stay on the hanger with out slipping off!
  6. If I get a cold, will they postpone my surgery? I am scheduled on July 20, so I am praying this sore throat clears up and doesn't progress to something else. Just worried that my surgery could be rescheduled. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
  7. I like Pure Protein, both the chocolate and vanilla, but as long as I am using the powder. I mix it with unsweetened vanilla almond milk and throw in a couple ice cubes to keep it colder.
  8. Hi, I'm pre-op, surgery scheduled for July 20. I have been looking for a good way to keep track of everything. MFP works well for all of you? My ID is julesmalik
  9. I completely agree. My immediate family knows and one close friend. I have already changed my eating habits and started exercising more. I am not ashamed that I am having the surgery. I'm very excited actually. I am a pretty private person though and didn't want to tell everyone about it. I started having digestive issues earlier this year and while my work knows I am going out for surgery, they don't know the specifics. I am kind of leaning towards leaving it like that. Thanks for your input! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
  10. Thanks Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App I'll tell the truth, I've been eating more healthily and eating less. Chuck Thanks Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App Thanks and good luck! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
  11. I have the same insurance, but in NJ. My paperwork was submitted on Wednesday and I got a call back from doctor early Monday morning. Approval could have come in anytime Friday or after, since they were not in the office. Hope you get yours back just as fast!
  12. How do you plan on explaining your weight loss after the surgery? Are you planning on telling people you had the surgery or another reason? I am on the fence on how I will explain it, especially since there are so many that criticize the surgery.
  13. July 20th.....can't wait for the day to finally get here!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using the BariatricPal App
