  2. I'm finished all my pre op duties for my insurance and I'm waiting on the approval! (Yay)!! But I'm in a little dilemma. I haven't told anyone about my surgery except my mom, fiance, and one friend months ago. Did you tell anyone? I don't know why I'm not. I think I may be in denial about needing the surgery and I feel upset I couldn't lose the weight without this tool. Also, I've been up at night trying to figure out what I'm going to tell the people at my work when I have to leave for 1-3 weeks... Just feeling stressed... 3. I think anxiety is normal!! But you do have to think about the benefits and how much healthier you'll be for your little ones! Best of luck!! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

  7. Yeah I hope they use that one! I was at 39.7 BMI at my first appointment... So that's really close to 40!! And TY! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  8. I have PCOS and 4 herniated discs in my back, 2 of which already got operated on. My doctor kept assuring me it'll get approved but I'm not sure if he's just saying that to not worry me! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  9. Oh jeeze!!! I'm nervous now. I'm glad you're doing well though Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  10. My insurance requires 3 months of attending bariatric meetings (each one month apart), 3. Nutrition counselings (each one month apart), and one psych eval. Then it takes 3-4 weeks for insurance approval, then about a month booked out for surgery. I think the process is a little long, 4- 6 months. Best of luck though! I hope your insurance allows a quicker process!! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  11. Hey all I'm new to this support group but I'm hoping I can find some stress relief here. I haven't gotten approved yet through my insurance. My surgeon told me that my BMI is too low... 37... And he'll need to convince them. I have PCOS and a couple other medical issues so he really thinks I should get the surgery. Also, I've worked so hard to lose the pre-surgery weight (33lbs) and now I feel like I screwed myself. Has anyone else been in this situation and how did it turn out?
