  1. The bariatric lady at the hospital and the nurse both told me to follow the prescription for the first four days at home. I went home on a Tuesday and stopped taking them Saturday. They said it was better to take them as prescribed so as not to get in pain and then have to wait for them to kick in. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Sean, I started soft foods yesterday. I've tried egg but mostly just do cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. I did do some squished avocado this evening and it was fine. I honestly would be fine on pp shakes and Popsicles. How are you doing?
  3. Can you add unflavored Protein powder to your yogurt and broth? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I'm only a week and a day after surgery so I don't know, but have you ever made hummus from edamame? The consistency would be about right.

  6. Good for you! One of the best decisions I've made is to stop stepping on the scale except when at the doc. I have enough to stress over! Good luck tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. I love to cook and have always made bone broth to freeze and use for Soups and stews. I have already had some since my surgery but not much because it's not tasting good to me. During my liquids I've pretty much stuck to Protein shake and sugar free Popsicles. Started soft foods today and tried to eat some egg. Ate about 1/4 of it. 9. Hello. I had my surgery a week ago. My official weight the surgeon is using is 233 lbs but my original weight was 260 before the 6 mos of diet the insurance company made me do. My surgery went well but I was in recovery for almost 8 hrs because I couldn't stop throwing up. Luckily once all the anesthesia was gone, I made a 180 and was able to go home the next day. I've noticed the wide variety of diets given by the doctors. I did not have to do preop diet other than Clear liquids after noon the day before surgery. I'm currently on full liquids and can start soft foods tomorrow. Right now I'm perfectly fine with my PP shakes and sugar free Popsicles. Just wanted to introduce myself and say I'm looking forward to this journey and am glad I found this forum. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. My doc didn't say anything about weight loss in the first week. I was sleeved on 5/23 and don't plan on weighing myself til my first post op visit. I would think in the first week it would fluctuate from all the fluids being pumped during surgery and hospital stay. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Hi. I just had my surgery on 5/23. I've noticed that I still have some pain at the incision sites when I get up or when I bend over. The glue is starting to come up on one site. Overall I feel great. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
