  2. So tomorrow morning at 5:45am I will be having my VSG and I'm so nervous I have so many feelings right now it's almost like I'm second guessing this. My mother and a good friend had a gastric bypass last year and are doing great but now it's my turn. When I started this journey back in March I was 252 pounds I hit my goal weight of 238 in May and last time I was weighed I was at 234, it's been a challenge. I have a very active 14 year old daughter that loves to workout and I can't keep up with her. Hope that I can once again be as active without pain as I used to. Wish me luck and any post op feedback is appreciated!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Take a sip every 60 seconds set a timer it's very important to get it in, it's not just Water all the fluids you take in count toward your 64oz of liquid intake.. So if you have broth or a shake that's liquid. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. Since March I'm down 18 pounds started this journey at 252 my goal weight for surgery was 238 and today I weighed in at 234, it's been so tough but so excited for this new journey Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Today I went in for my pre op class and was told since we were given a goal weight that the pre op diet would only be for the two days before the surgery, so two days before surgery doing the purée food then Clear liquids the day before. I have Kaiser and they have a really great Bariatric program that offers pre and post op support and information, my mother had the surgery and didn't have to go thru a lot of what I went thru with her insurance.
