  1. I was sleeved on 3/7/16. I have lost a total of 73 pounds. I had some complications after the first 2 weeks which landed me back in the hospital. Since I've been out it has been about 6 weeks. I am struggling with hunger. I'm not hungry on most days, I force myself to eat, and I get all my Protein requirements in for the day. Then there are some days that after I eat a meal (usually containing about 15-18 grams of protein) I am still hungry. The serving size is about 1/2 cup. I feel like I could eat a whole other serving. I am wondering if anyone else has had this before?? I don't eat more, I usually get a Popsicle or Water, but I'm usually still hungry for hours. Help!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. My surgeon said that hair loss is due to poor nutrition (not getting proper protein). It also takes a while for your body to start losing hair, and it is reversible. Talk to your surgeon, the will be able to answer it for you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. My nutritionist said that without getting the proper Protein you will not lose weight, and also protein will lead you to dehydration. That's why getting your suggested amounts in is totally key to a success. Stalls are totally normal!! My mom had her surgery in October she didn't lose weight for a month, but she went down a size, so you may not be loosing weight, but your body is changing. I had my sleeve in March, and I had a rough first 5 weeks, but I am doing so much better now. As of last week I am down 67 pounds!! Keep up the good work!! 4. It's a new journey. I had my sleeve done 3/7/16. The first few weeks you will ask yourself why did I do this. But afterwards you will not regret it. My biggest suggestion is find out if there is a support group from your surgeons office. I have found so many people from my surgeons office that I can reach out to and it's nice to have someone to talk with face to face. Never be afraid to reach out and talk. You are the only one who can make the decision, I have tried several different diet options and after a roller coster of weight loss I am finally on the right path. I have lost 67 pounds since 3/7, and I am down 3 sizes!! It's an amazing feeling. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
