  2. Surgery is June 28th, I'm so scared but so darn excited. I've been heavy for 24 years, I'm just exited to loose this damn weight and excited to eat healthy. One year ago on June 16th, I had a massive heart attack at 43 years old, my lad was 100 % blocked and my RCA was 99% blocked. I have 3 Stents all together. So the only reason I'm scared is my heart. I did have permanent heart damage to my left side. But I have turned my diet around as far as eating more lean meats and vegetables and fruits, I just sometimes cheat with the sweets, I'm excerising 5 days a week I lost 30 pound but it's been a year now and I haven't lost anymore so I decided to get help with surgery. I'm so excited to get started on this new journey. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App

  9. I feel if you are goi g through this major life changing surgery you need to do your research first. If your nutritionist didn't tell you what to eat, which to me is a huge red flag, then either get a better nutritionist or keep asking them until you get a list and you understand it. That's what the nutritionists are there for. As previously stated, what to eat post op is medical advice which you should get feom medical professionals especially since every plan is different. I've seen some people say they were on liquid for a month and I've seen some people say they were on purees right out of the hospital sp in the end it doesn't really matter what other people ate, it matters what your surgeon and your nutritionist tell you. I understand asking what others are eating, but you should not be asking strangers online what you should be eating Wow, that was rude. I think if you feel I'm asking for medical advice which I wasn't then you should just scroll past my post instead of being so rude. I do have a nutrientionist but we have not talked about 6 months to a year after being sleeved. I already know about the post op, I'm fully aware, I was curious about people 6-12 months out. What they are eating. Is that so bad? I'm sorry if it offended anyone. I thought this group was for that. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App

  11. Thank you for your replies , I wasn't asking for medical advice I was just simply asking from expierenced sleevers of what foods they eat on a day to day basis. What foods you've tried that didn't go over well. You get the best advice from people who have been through the process. So thank you very much to those who have shared with me. 19. I was approved for my surgery today. Everything is starting to feel real. Surgery is June 28th. Please keep me in your thoughts. I so need to be gone of this weight not only to get healthy but for my heart. I'm only 43 and already had a heart attack a year ago. I just don't have a little one I had to do it up big and now have permanent heart damage. I hope I can be very successful at this. I've never wanted something so bad in my life.. 20. Sorry for your loss, I lost my best friend, my rock, my only person I had to run to,my grandpa which is why I have this obesity problem. I drowned my depression in food. I thought it was making me feel better, until last year I realized it was making things worse than my depression. It caused me to have a heart attack. So now I faced my problems head on and now when the damn depression kicks in I walk it out, I finally decided it's not going to get the best of me. Not that I don't cheat every now and then but I'm getting stronger everyday Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
  21. I read this and was in shock. This was a bad article all the way around. 1st it has no prove. Hardly none of these patients were autopsied. They don't know why the patients died. So right there it's a failed article. No footnotes of where they got their information. I am 43 years old. Had my first heart attack last june. If I don't lose the weight my chances of being dead within the next year are very high. Our bodies weren't met to carry a lot of weight. Be proud of your sleeve, lose the weight and be happy. Live for today. Life is too short..xoxo Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using the BariatricPal App
