  7. I was told yesterday that I should have an August date. I still have psyc evaluation, EGD, letter from PCP, nicotine test and Cardiac clearance. It seems like quite a bit to do but the office is confident so I'm just going by the schedule. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  12. Be healthier. Wear normal clothes... Not "toe sacks ". as my husband says. I don't even know what that is other than oversized tops that don't cling. Just to be comfortable being me. I want to like me! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  13. In the beginning my husband was all for the surgery. He really has a huge issue with my weight and I don't blame him for that. I don't want him to think I don't care about myself. I do care. Now that I am half way through the approval process he has changed that he is against it. Weight, fat, diet, if you stop eating chips, cook healthy, the surgery is just not normal are some comments. I am ruining his life almost. His answer for the change was he thought I wouldn't go through with it since I had started and stopped so many things before. Examples of my failures: weight watchers, buying exercise equipment and not using it, walking and then not walking, My fitness pal... You name it and I have probably tried and failed. I thought he would be so happy for me. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  14. Sorry for your bad experience. I work in the hospital and am also curious why an ABG is part of pre op lab and thankful that it's not of the pre op lab here. Very painful lab draw. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  18. My insurance requirements seem to be reasonable and then I have other test that are required by the surgeon. I'm hoping that after doing everything it will be 3-5 months from evaluation to surgery. I'm older so understand the extra clearance that is being required. Right now I'm thinking positive, but I might have a different opinion later if I am not approved. Best of luck with your decision.
