  3. So I'm 31 years old and from Hamilton Ontario. My weight was 264 lbs prior to pre op diet. I lost 8-9 lbs during the Optifast Diet that I was on for just over 10 days. I have always been a bigger girl and struggled to lose weight. The process through the bariatric clinic was just over a year after completing all the appointment. I had surgery on 05/03/2016 making it 2 days post op. I had gastric bypass and hiatus hernia repair. Everything went well and there were no complications. I am going home today 05/05/2016! The first night after surgery was quite painful, and slightly scary. as I had needed to use the washroom and almost fainted. Thankfully the nurse was there to help me. The second day was much better and was able to tolerate small sips of decaf coffee. Gas pain is the only complaint I can really make but walking the halls really helps. Sipping Water also helps. I wish good luck to everyone Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
