  3. Went from band to bypass 3 days ago and I was very nervous. I have not had a lot of pain so far, just some discomfort. Still a little weak and sore. My concern is that I gaine 3lbs. Maybe once my body settles down I’ll start to loose. This process was a lot easier than I thought, you got this.
  4. Sorry guys I've been missing in action. I've been going through some issues at work and haven't had time to go online. I recently had a fill and I'm back on track. I wanted to check my weight to give you an update on my progress. I think I'm doing pretty good. I was banded in Nov 2007, started at a size 26 and now I'm down to a 18. I promise to stay in touch. I know some prayers went forth and I thank all of you. The power of intercession is really something.
  5. Hi, just checking in. I want to at least try to check in every other day if not everyday. The encouragement that comes from you guys is just amazing. My week-end wasn't so bad a few wrong food choices but doing a lot better. Put on a size 20 dress for church and got a lot of positive comments (down from a size 26). Thank God the race is not given to the swift or the strong but the one who endureth to the end. And I plan on enduring. Thanks for instruction on adding the ticker, I will have to try it.
  6. I had my surgery on Nov 1st. I lost 20lbs pre-op and struggle between 15 and 20lbs since then. I read all of the time but never wrote. I am having some trouble moving forward and I think you guys are the best and just wanted to make the step to join in with such a successful group. I have a friend here at work that is on this journey with me. We had our surgery the same day. It makes it a lot easier to have someone who understands around everyday. I'm not loosing as fast as I'd like or think that I should but it's my own fault. I make poor food choices and have not started excersing yet. I working toward getting back on the band wagon. I will start curves on March 3rd and working hard on making better choices. I think I'm frustrated within my soul and have resorted back to old mindsets and habits. But I will not give up. I have had 4 fills and just starting to feel some restriction.
  7. Hi, this is my very first time posting and I'm so excited to have found a christian thread to post on. I have been visiting lapband talk since July 2007. This site helped me to make the decision to have the lapband surgery, and has given me a lot of valuable information. I am having some challenges today with making the right food choices, but I know God will give me the stregnth to get back on the right track.
