Speaking from being in your shoes.i had surgery March 28th, found out I was pregnant April 13th. I was pregnant when I had surgery but do to the hospital only doing a urine test it was too early to detect. Had they done blood work I wouldn't have had surgery and I would be having a healthy baby in Dec. Due to the surgery and me not being able to eat / drink anything I had to terminate.. I was not able to even keep down Water. food was a huge NO!!!! I vomit everyday all day.. Trust me you want to let them know ahead of time and reschedule your surgery to avoid mental, emotional torture... GOOD LUCK, BEST WISHES AND CONGRATS ON A HEALTHY BABY!! Omg... Where do I begin.. So these are something's that I'm not proud of... 1.I can drink soda except coke and Dr.pepper.. They hurt. Sprite my fav!! 2.I love hot food... I can have hot cheetos! 3.Can't eat fried chicken but tried it. 4.Can eat ice cream. 5.don't really do sweet but I did have a spoon of peach cobbler. 6.still eat French fries.. I wish this was my case.. Do I feel horrible for having surgery? Yes I do. My doctor told me I was the 3rd case my question is why they haven't started doing blood test to avoid this? 3 strikes you out I feel blood test are always better this could've been avoid.. Well, I currently seen a story about a lady that was pregnant when she had surgery.. Neither her nor her doctor knew that she was pregnant because before surgery they only do urine test which she was too early to detect it. Well well well comes to find out I'm in the same situation and it is killing me. I had surgery on March 29 and at the time I was 2-3 weeks pregnant...
