Sept 21st RNY diabetic [emoji382]
Hello all, Very excited like most of you all finally received my surgery date 09/21/2016 in San Antonio TX. I'm trying to detox before my prep-class and diet on 09/07/2016. The reason I am starting now is because I am insulin dependent. If anyone knows of a great cleanse please let me know. I am drinking tons of Water with some Essential oils (slim and sassy) which work awesome. I literally feel my kidneys working! I do have SOME permanent kidney damage from going into DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis) yes I'm super young well 33 but my body shut down. Im going to get activated charcoal and looking for something for my lungs to avoid any pneumonia like symptoms. Diabetics can easily get lung infections. I'm basically looking for just in case scenarios. I'm a little nervous I have 3 small children and I just want to make sure I'm here for them. Any advice given will be so Appreciated.❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Protein!
I am pre-op researching on Fluid intake and Protein. Well I came across this Isopure brand Protein powder and they make a 20oz beverage that has 40gm of protein. I thought I would share and if you have any protein tips please share as well!❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Psych evaluation
Just an update. I took my psych evaluation, I passed everyone was right. I did have to take the MM2 I think it's called it was 370 questions. I asked about this test and apparently it's been used for police officers and ministers as a personality test. Although I was littered scared I did look into therapy afterwards just because I think it's does a body good. Since I have decided to do the gastric bypass my stress is practically gone it's so true how mental it is. I have not had to take any anxiety meds and I asked about the meds I was on also and it would not be a problem just the absorption rate after surgery. Just in case anyone has the same questions or situation. Thank you for all your help, this is like the best support group ever❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Psych evaluation
Hello there, I am a newbie and I wanted to ask what the psych evaluation will entail? I don't wanna say the wrong things but what if I have an issue with anxiety? My dad just passed so if they ask if I am or was depressed will that fail me? I also have been on anti depressants and anti anxieties when my mom passed to so I'm wondering if they view that info? Thank you for your help in advance. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
