  1. I am going through the EXACT same thing. I cannot seem to stay focused enough to lose the weight. The pre op diet they put me on has me soooooooo hungry throughout the night that I end up eating in the middle of the night. Ugh..so frustrating Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  2. You look great! May I ask....where did you get the swimsuit? I would love to rock something like this some day:) Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hello! I'm still pre op but I hope to have my sleeve done at Kaiser fremont. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  4. I really appreciate the way you put that into perspective. It really is more important to think of results long term versus fastest weight loss. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  5. Happy birthday to you! I wish that you have your surgery and are wildly successful! When I think of cute of accomplishments post op...I definitely want to put on a bathing suit for the first time in my life. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  6. I would just recommend light clothing. It wouldn't be much difference in the weight between weighing in with a light dress and no shoes vs weighing nude. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  7. I'm right there with you. I just started using a more expensive "precise" scale and I literally feel addicted to weighing myself lol smh Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  8. Hey there! Im going thru richmond kaiser with Dr. Im. I have my meeting with the case manager on Monday and was told I will receive an august survey date. I'm more than excited. I felt during our group class that the case manager was a bit mean... How was your appointment with her? Sent from my Z828 using the BariatricPal App Believe it or not...you are not the first person that has that impression of her. Kudos to you for making it this far in the process! 9. WOW..this picture really showcases how much of a transformation you went through. You look great! Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  10. I'm still pre op and I am struggling to lose the weight to get a surgery date just wanted to say CONGRATS to you. However I have heard others who are post op say that be sure to bring a long extension cord so that you can plug in all of your electronic devices. Also I have heard that a belly binder will help get through the first few days. Just my 2 cents. Can't wait to hear from you when you are on the other side! 11. Congrats and thanks for the tip about Zeal. The more I can condense my routine and still be successful post op the better it will be. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  12. My grandmother used to make really good coffee jello!Wow..coffee jello?! That sounds like it would be really, really good and I have never thought to try that. Thanks for the tip! Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  13. Right.. which is why I was so surprised because from the beginning of her show she touted PCOS as the reason why she has gained so much weight. Now I see its a combo platter of reasons including her eating habits. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  14. So true. It also kind of explains a little why she hasn't done weight loss surgery. She would have to quit smoking (forever), lose a certain amount of weight pretty surgery and completely change her lifestyle. I don't think she is up for the challenge right now. 15. It has been my experience that Fitbits are not very accurate (they look nice though). I would find that if I was sitting down my fitbit would add steps to my step count, the calories burned were never accurate. If you want an accurate activity tracker then I would recommend anything by Polar. If you are not looking to spend much then I recommend the Polar FT4 or FT7 (price ranges between $40-$60 on Amazon). If you don't really have a limit to what you will spend I recommend the Polar A300. You do have to wear the heart rate strap but it provides a more accurate reading than Fitbit. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App That's strange.. I've never had steps added on my fitbit when sitting. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N915A using the BariatricPal App That's why I stated "In my experience"...doesnt necessarily apply to everyone. I have had a better experience with Polar products. But I am sure there are millions out there who love Fitbit just like you☺ Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App

  17. According to last nights episode she has gained 150 pounds since the last diet where she lost 100 pounds. I don't remember how much her excess weight is. She is relatively short and weighs about 350ish. I am taller than she is (and carry most of my weight in my lower body). After losing 200 pounds so far after being sleeved I am close to her current weight. I think I am in better physical shape than she is and I certainly know better than to attempt some of her stunts (a dance marathon, skiing -- especially right after a trip to the ER with a referral to a cardiologist!). She is in deep, deep denial. Whitney is 5'2...she probably needs to lose closer to 200 pounds because she is so short (even then she would still be overweight at 174 pounds). I'm going to play devil's advocate a little here...I can understand a little why she feels so overwhelmed because 200 pounds is a lot to lose (Its a whole person). However she is still full of excuses and has many, many enablers in her life. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  18. Looking at the Facebook page for "My Big Fat Fabolous Life" and it seems people are beginning to turn on her. I think people are starting to believe that she is using her NO BS campaign as an excuse for laziness. I really hope she turns it around. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  19. She does live in North Carolina...I would hazard a guess that everyone she hangs out with smokes, too.Probably true. It just makes me look at Whitney and all of the people on her show differently. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  20. I was so disappointed that she smokes. I had no idea. Its interesting that she is an dancer/dance teacher that smokes. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  21. Hello! I am still pre op as well and I know exactly how you feel. I just keep thinking.."no risk, no reward". You should feel proud of yourself for even making the steps toward surgery while there are some who let the fear envelop them. Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  22. I've never heard of this but I would like to go Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
