  1. Thank you! Recliner might be a good idea too so the dogs wont try to sleep with me. Although, I don't mind it... I know it'll be hard to get comfortable for a while.
  2. I know everyone is different, but.... I'm having my surgery on the 21st, I have a client going out of state on the 23rd and I'm staying at her house to pet sit her dogs. Luckily, I don't have to walk them, they just play in the backyard. I'm really hoping I'm not in a lot of pain. All I really do is sleep over night there, I'll be home during the day (with my dogs). I'm just really nervous that I'm going to be in pain and uncomfortable staying at someone elses house the first week after my surgery.
  3. I'm in Milwaukee Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  4. I love triple zero yogurt! What flavor has that much Protein? I think mine is around 16g. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  5. What helped me was drinking Protein shakes for Breakfast vs eating food (healthy or not) and that lowered my calories and boosted my protein. It was one small change that really helped me mid way in my 6 mo supervised diet phase. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  6. I also think people say things that are trying to be supportive, but are hurtful. Like, wow.. you'll be so beautiful after you lose the weight. What, am I troll right now? I'm already beautiful, I want to be healthy! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  7. My insurance didn't require weight loss pre-surgery. I just made a few changes though to help me, for example I started drinking my Protein shakes months earlier for Breakfast. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App

  11. I think they make money if people join :/ Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  12. I had to do the 6 months of doctor visits before submitting to my insurance for approval. But then it took almost two weeks to get it scheduled Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  13. Thanks, that's why I was curious if anyone else has used it. She said that people that had the bypass used the program, but it wasn't making sense to me why? I thought maybe I was missing something. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  14. I was also torn as my surgeon said both would work for me. I decided on the bypass finally. Mostly because of the years of data to back it up. Also, my insurance only will cover once. If I decided to go from sleeve to revision to the bypass it would be out of my pocket.
  15. July 21st here. I'm excited... yet I wish it wasn't so far away. I guess I've waited since Nov.. what's another 6 weeks lol. I'm in Wisconsin.
  16. Has anyone done medifast with their bypass? My friend lost weight using this program and she has been talking to me about it. Her "mentor" said that I could do it along with my bypass... but I'm wondering if the food would even be what I'm needing? She said they also have a shake program... but I can do shakes at home on my own. Just curious if anyone else has done this before/during/after surgery.
  17. It seems so far away though I hope these six weeks go by fast.
  18. Right... still waiting for scheduling to call me... it's killing me!! Don't they know how anxious I am!!
  19. I had the same dilema.. only my surgeon told me either surgery would be equally successful. I wish he had said one would be better than the other. In the end I decided I'm going to do the bypass because my insurance will only pay once, so if I had sleeve and wanted to later get the bypass... it would be out of pocket. Also, the bypass has more of a history than the sleeve. If the sleeve had another 10 years or so of data/history I may have gone with that.
  20. Following... My NUT told me to take Flinstones Chewables (no gummies) so that is what I have been doing. One with Breakfast and one with dinner.
  21. I feel the same! I just want to know the date lol Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  22. Thanks... scheduling didn't get to me yeaterday... so I guess I'll find out my date tomorrow. I'm just ready to do it and be done!! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  23. I have Anthem BCBS. I'm still waiting for my surgery date though. The Bariatric center called me to let me know I was approved... but the central scheduling office only schedules on Wed and Fridays. So I guess they'll be calling me tomorrow!!
  24. I also have BCBS and had my approval in less than a week. Good luck!!!
