  1. I had my RNY bypass on the 21st. I feel great! Still a little gassy, but when it moves somewhere uncomfortable I move around then it moves and I'm back to ok. Luckily had some bowel movements on day two and that helped a lot! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  2. Veggies???!! I'm so jealous!! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  3. I'm in West Allis, I'm having my surgery tomorrow at ElmBrook Hospital.
  4. The first few days were a struggle.. and I'll admit on day 2 I had a small pretzel stick. But after that, the protein shakes were filling me up. There were days I struggled to get all three shakes in because I just wasn't hungry. I still have a ton of energy and I feel great.
  5. Good questions! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  6. I was put on 3 protein shakes and two cups of cranberry 5juice a day. Some days I only have two protein shakes and 1 cup of juice.... hopefully that doesn't cause issues. I'm not 100% following the diet, but I just can't get another shake in, but I haven't cheated with food. I have tried chicken broth, it makes me feel sick and goes right through me. I do drink water non stop all day. Surgery is Thursday. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  7. My surgery is next thursday and I took off the following week. I hope I'm feeling well enough to at least go in for half days. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  8. Curious also, there is a guy I'm interested in and I think he is too... but I'm having my surgery next week. It makes me nervous because I'm not sure what guys reactions are to hearing about the surgery. It's one thing to be with someone already and be there for them... but another to just start dating someone. Or is it?
  9. I really wish I wasn't in my two week liquid diet phase right now... I love going to Bastille Days and eating something yummy!
  10. I use my fitness pal. That way I can link my map my walk/hike/bike etc to it so my exercise goes right onto it with my food that I logged. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  11. I was also trying to choose between both. I ultimately went for the bypass surgery (scheduled 7/21) my insurance will only cover one surgery, I decided to just go right to the final and most proven step. Reading the stories here helped me a lot. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  12. I'd be interested too! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  13. Haha. Well walking is boring for me too... that's why I hike instead. Much more challenging!! Plus it's fun and I see so much beautiful wildlife Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  14. I'm still hiking a few miles.. and yesterday I did a 16 mile bike ride on the trails... I was hungry after, bud had a Protein shake for lunch and felt fine. The hunger is lessening as the days go on... Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  15. I'm on day 5 of liquids... it's not that horrible... but I really notice all the food commercials, and it's hard watching my Gordon Ramsey shows lol. I did lose some weight, but I was just shy of only having to do a week of liquids. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  16. My surgery is 7/21... I'm anxious.. nervous.. just trying to enjoy my delicious liquids for two weeks lol Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  17. So, most of my family and friends are excited for me.... but then there are those few that are constantly reminding me what can go wrong. . How hard it will be.. oh you'll have flabby skin.. your boobs will be thin and hang to your waist.. it's okay to cheat a little on your liquid diet, what if you lose weight and you arent pretty anymore.. ect ect. Yet, people at my work that know are sooo supportive! A few even offered to do a form of liquid diet during the day to support me at work. A bunch even offered to skip the ice cream social my work is having Monday... although I told them thank you but no.. it feels good to have their support. It's so weird to me that those that know my struggles aren't more supportive. My close family and best friend are really supportive.. but the others... I just don't get it. I'm already nervous enough.. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  18. I use fitmiss chocolate Protein powder. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  19. Wow! Great... I am two weeks out and I really hope I fall in the category of those of you that feel this great right after!! I want to only take one week off of work. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  20. I'm on day 3 of my 2 week liquid diet. It sure is harder than I thought! The 1st night I cheated with some cheese.. I felt so guilty 5 min later. When I feel hungry I drink some Water or juice and remind myself that not controlling myself is what lead me to this. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  21. I LOOOOOVE my Protein shake... I mix it normally with soy milk. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  22. I will call her if needed. Hopefully I'll get through the milk part.. I did ask if it could be skim.. she said 1% was better but skim would be okay. Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
  23. I'm so excited to finally be at this stage! The only thing I am most bummed about is that my nutritionist said I need to drink regular milk with my Protein shakes because I need the calories I have been drinking almond milk or soy milk for years... I will follow what she says though. I'm just excited to July 21st to get here and get this done and continue the next step of my journey!
  24. Wow!! You look great! Sent from my SM-G925V using the BariatricPal App
