  1. Queer... I mean here.
  2. You'll do great!
  3. I had a PT for about a year prior and still use him. It's amazing. It's built confidence in myself at the gym. It also holds me accountable Bc I'm spending the money. Def do it.
  4. VSG 8/25 Left: July 2016 Right: 12/30/2016 133 pounds down
  5. Best wishes Jon. Take it easy and don't compare your journey with that if others. You're definitely giving yourself a great gift. Keep us posted.
  6. Yeah. I don't see much change in myself - but pictures don't lie. 8 weeks yesterday.
  7. Just working. Down nearly 30 pounds but scale stayed the same for a couple days. I know. I know. Don't weigh every day. Too hard not to.
  8. I thought my world would end for so long if I came out. I was from small town USA. What's interesting is my sister came out when I was in college, but I never thought id be able to. I was the perfect child. It was my closest guarded secret. But the week before surgery... I said fuck it and did my thing. Happiest I've been since I can remember.
  9. LMAO! My program had us on full liquids when we leave the hospital. Thankfully I can have fish starting tomorrow.
  10. How long before we can have sex after surgery. What about swallowing. Let's get some real talk.
  11. Man thank you so much. I have been doing 2 premiere Proteins a day, but they're wayyyyy to sweet. Chicken broth is wayyyy to salty. Lol. I am making do with Water and Jello sugar free pudding. Went to Starbucks and got a peach green tea lemonade unsweetened. Best thing ever. I'm doing good with getting at least 64 ounces of Fluid, but the sweet protein - yuck. Have you tried unflavored protein? I use GENEPRO almost every day, it's 30 grams per tablespoon and has no flavor. I add a scoop in decaf coffee, I also use it in SF pudding..I purchase mine on Amazon. One way to cut the sweetness on the premiere is by adding it to cold decaf coffee, with a few pumps of SF torani syrup. With the chicken broth, are you getting low sodium? Our taste buds change so drastically after surgery but I promise it gets easier everyday I ordered and got the genpro. Tried it today - glad you suggested it. I put it in my Crystal lite raspberry lemonade. It's the best.
  12. I'm gonna look into genpro. I have bought the organic low sodium broth - can't take it, at least right now. I haven't had a problem drinking fluids. I don't gulp but I drink a good amount at a time. That's one thing I was worried about. But it's all good. I'm down 40 pounds from my high weight and lost about 17 pounds since last Thursday.

  14. Thank you all. Any advice on things that helped you the first two weeks, especially with the full liquids?
  15. Was sleeved yesterday. Feel great, minor discomfort.
  16. Came out to my family and friends over the last week. Surgery is tomorrow. Looking forward to it.
  17. Surgery scheduled for 8/24
  18. I'm sure you'll do well!
  19. I just received my insurance authorization letter. Scheduling at the end of the month. Nervous and excited. My friends bought me some Andrew Christians as a "incentive" for surgery. Lol!
  20. Hey! Can you add me to those too?
  21. I've had a personal trainer for about 18 months. My surgery date will more than likely be in August. How long is the norm from taking off a weight routine? What did your work outs look like when you started back? Last Friday I did 80 squats, step ups, leg extensions, leg presses and calf raises. Upper isn't as strong as lower, but curious what y'all did. How was your energy level? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. I have used UMP powder by Beverly Intl for a year and a half now while working with my trainer pre op. It's the best - I put half a banana in there with 1% milk. It's good. Have strawberry chocolate and vanilla Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
