  3. I literally feel full and satisfied.. Was a learning process to pinpoint the exact feeling for me though. But I am a pro at it now

  5. yogurt or applesauce with added protein powder. & like others have said.. just sip sip sip and don't be discouraged if you don't meet your goals.. you will get there. I didn't meet mine for quite some time.

  13. I'm not sure how effective it is.. I personally just felt like it was step that didn't have much effort put into it. I passed my eval but still went through some major issues after surgery. But my surgeons office was there for me throughout the whole ordeal to help out.

  15. My acid reflux is completely gone and has been since about 2 months out of surgery(I also don't take any medicine to control it) But I had a hiatal hernia repair at the time of my sleeve also. I only get it once around "that time of the month" like clock work. I have never thrown up or got the "foamies" I have felt overly full plenty of times though.. just standing up and walking it off seems to be the best relief for me, when that does happen.

  18. My hair loss has finally come to a stop for the most part. I didn't loose length just thickness. I have heard lemon and lime Water is good for minimizing loose skin.. of course not all of it. I have bought organic lemon and lime juice that I just add to water and I drink a good portion of it daily. So far so good.
  19. I have been wanting more tattoos also, but I plan on getting plastic surgery so I think it would be good to wait. I currently have 3 in places that don't get loose skin so they are ok. I think getting one on your foot or somewhere that has very little fat is your best bet. Probably where I will get one soon, my feet are all skin and bone now.
  20. Rice is evil to my tummy personally... so I would say No to rice. I have bread in moderation like half a bun or something with a burger (I don't eat burgers often). I have never been a big pasta fan.. only eat it when I have mac n cheese (which is maybe once a month). & the way my tummy tolerates pasta is different every time I eat it.. varies a ton.
  21. I drink soda everyday now(not saying it's the right thing to do, but no1 is perfect).. but I definitely wouldn't drink it before you're more healed. It is very uncomfortable depending on if its from a bottle, can, or fountain drink. I have just gotten used to the discomfort so it doesn't really bother me now.
  22. I would def say test your new limits at home first before going out in public. I feel the alcohol almost instantly now. I only drink socially and I am a hermit so I don't drink too often
  23. At the time i had my sleeve I was on a step down critical care floor. I went back after 3 weeks and did great. I had some nausea spells and of course getting in water was hard but I'm here now lol so I guess I did alright
  24. Genpro is the unflavored protein powder that I use.. I have gotten used to it and can hardly taste it. I mix it with all sorts of things but mostly Greek yogurt.. gives you a lot of bang for your buck imo.

  28. I was pretty depressed in the beginning also, felt like it was never going to end.. But, it did end and I feel pretty good now.. I had a great support system to get through it. My plan was soft foods after couple of weeks, so I didn't have to be in liquids for a month. I just sip sip sipped in my liquid stage. Sugar free Jello counted is a liquid for mine.. does it for you?
  29. Oh okay, didn't know that. Dumb question: what happens to the rest of the Protein? Also, thanks for your response! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  30. Not sure if it's normal but I'm always cold now too. My blood work has been coming back fine so thats not it. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  31. I am probably only getting 500 calories in on most days . I do meet the required amount of Protein which my Doc says is 70-80. I usually eat a yogurt and add a scoop of Protein powder and add some honey nut clusters or something with Fiber which is 45 grams of protein. Then I will drink a shake which has 30 grams... just to get my protein in.. mostly on nights that I work (it's hard eating on night shift and even harder because of my job). How are others combating not being hungry and getting in enough calories? I am 6 months out.
