  5. Dear Dr K, How do I stop myself from spitting my coffee when I read your posts and replies? I already have a STRAW!
  6. @@CHM OMG, sounds like Alaska and/or Siberia ..... I know I'm not good with the temp conversions, but this sounds deathly to me too! I would move out too! I forgot to mention Toronto, Canada but it wasn't as cold as the other places I've been to/lived in. Vancouver was like Sydney, temperature wise, for me anyway I wore short sleeves when I first came to Melbourne, Oz, in the winter time. People thought I was mad ..... Now I ask my Dad who still lives there, to put central heating on when I visit him in the winter ....
  7. I always worked shift-work, so my body clock was out of whack for over 20 years ... Nursing, then flight attendant International division. All settled once I quit shift-work .... for a while Insomnia back due to my Graves disease/Hyper thyroid @ Please take my Graves, you will feel hot all the time, I promise The coldest winters I experienced were in Central/Northern Europe ... and New York ... At -25C (-20F, I think), I needed a balaclava for my face, as my nose would freeze up .... Even the warmest thermal under wear did not help .... gloves, hats, warm scarves ..... Now that was Cold! Getting out of bed and Running to the shower, the hottest shower, then piling on layers upon layers upon layers of clothes ..... like an onion, then venturing outside and slipping and sliding on the icy footpaths wearing a heavy winter coat .... I loved ice-skating though and some skiing ....
  8. @@CHM, my GP did not want to prescribe the only non-appetite increasing anti-depressant that apparently is the best non addictive sleeping pill ever .... my bariatric psychologist suggested it to me, as sleep is important in recovery, and my hyper-thyroid has been keeping me awake again, for weeks! So, I have super strong sleeping pills, yet unless I take 2-3, then no sleep for me .... Over it, really .... Not depressed, but very sleep deprived .....
  9. Those roos in the video fight Dirty! Did you see the kicks to their balls???? OUCH !
  10. @, I actually had the roos in my back yard, in my previous house. Where I am now, just a short stroll to the river and reserve, there is a whole bunch of them, some are sooooooo Big!
  11. @@CHM Top of the morning to you! I'm waiting for my sleeping pill or two to kick in .....
  12. Geez, so much going on here while I was bitching re Queensland roundabouts, the flying saucer size ones, and my Sat Nav sending me on a wild goose chase ..... Round, and round, and round we go .... Weeeee Here is a bar fight for yas, guess they both went to a Kangaroo bar .... LOL
  13. My Sat Nav sending me to the wrong exit ..... on the flying saucer size Queensland roundabouts .... Yeah, just love driving round and round and round again .... Weeeeeee
  14. Had a busy pampering day, now I am vegging out, relaxing and half asleep ..... Oh, yes this is in rants and raves, but my Positive experience has been extra hair growth and much thicker hair post WLS! It's awesome! I was so worried that after my radioactive treatment last year, and WLS earlier this year would crucify my hair, but it has been a complete opposite for me Been taking all the suggested special bariatric vitamins, plus vit. B12 spray, eat as per program, and voila .... soon I'll have birds nesting in my hair .....
  15. OMG, that would be a Miracle! WLS to cure Graves ??? Yes, this would be an amazing possibility. @@rebecca wills Could you post a couple of links to what you found re Ghrelin and Graves? You are so good at research. Thank you.
  16. @@kjr2016 I love this !!! LOL, thanks for the laugh
  17. @ and @@jintycb He he !!! Still nothing beats Norway .... I swam in the fjords at 17C ..... in the summer
  18. @@LipstickLady Same stylist ..... your dog looks sooooooooooooo much better
  19. @ LOL ...... Love it! Not so bad here today, just starting un-peeling my warmer clothes, cold nights but warm days here. I spent most of my life in Sydney, still think Sydney has the best climate! Not as humid as it is here, and not as cold as Melbourne! And definitely not as cold as Norway! Plus, my hyper-thyroid keeps me so, so warm again ....
  20. More Aussies, YAY!!! Welcome ! @@sleevedsista Congrats! You're a month ahead of me, I got sleeved 8th March 2016 Hope you're doing well
  21. LOL, @ This is why me thinks a visit to Thailand maybe happening post weight-loss, as a prevention !
