  1. 3 days, 2 nights. I stayed extra night due to pain and non-stop hicupps Normally it would be one night two days
  2. It'll be worth it. Today is day 3 Post Op for me! Hang in there:)

  4. I am staying another night. Still have a bunch of pain getting up and down and hiccups for two hours straight. I ate broth and an ensure and so far so good. They did x-ray and no leaks....hip-hip hooray
  5. they are definitely giving me some good pain meds. Last night I got a double dose and was able to sleep 2.5 hours. Giving me Dilaudid/Morphine. Still got some pretty rough heartburn/hicups but they are giving me meds for that too. Just got done walking. I have to walk a few times a day in hospital to prevent blood clots...Hardest thing is getting in and out of bed.....still haven't mastered that yet.
  6. I asked to stay an extra day in hospital too. I have lots of pain in the side of my gut and bouts of hicupps that last 2 hours. Other than that doing fine. Drank broth and Apple Ensure today. Drowsy too and need to take a nap

  8. Lotta pain in my lower side of ny stomach when I move. Been battling with heartburn. Can't sleep Other than that doing good! I think I go home tomorrow. Best wishes to you

  14. Definitely will keep in touch. This whole process is nerve racking so it is good to have someone to be a buddy with going through it also
  15. Hey Kmorri, That is cool! You are the first one from Jacksonville, FL that I Have met on here. I started day 5 of my all clear liquid diet today...I am doink ok so far. I am going through Baptist downtown, North Florida Surgeons. My Dr is Hodgett. Good luck with yours! Let me know if you have any questions as I go a little before u.

  17. My surgery date is 3/30. Tomorrow is day 5 of liquid diet. I have been doing EAS Advantage shakes, the rich dark chocolate is real good. I drink a bunch of Water with crystal lite. Lastly I have been switching on and off between chicken broth and vegetable broth. I have seasoned the broth with garlic powder and Adobo (to give it a little flavor).
