Hi George, I had vsg surgery on July 11, 2016 and I stayed 2 days in the hospital went home in a lot of pain. The pain got worse no better and I finally had to be rushed to the hospital on Sunday morning. I am still in the hospital on major pain meds waiting for someone to figure out what they are going to do I have a bile leak somewhere. I can drink Water fine but since Sunday all I get is ice chips I am really not hungry but I do believe I have to be starving. Since surgery I have eaten maybe 6 taplespoons of broth or Protein shake. I got sleeved on July 11 2016. I am back in hospital because of a leak. The pain was unbarable. I have not eaten barely anything since the surgery but right now I am sipping on a carton of mild and I am on a morphine pump and feeling good. I figured I needed something in my tummy besides the salt Water they called broth or the diet Jello that tasted like it was make with lemon clensers. So 1% milk ok for me? I am soo excited. I am doing it. I am a mother of 5 ( ages 11,9,5 and twin 10-month-olds) amazing boys who deserve a mother who will be able to keep up with them when they are older :-). I lost 48lbs since march 21, 2016 but now it is sooo hard to keep on this liquid diet. I am not going to beat myself up over this but I would like some nonjudgmental advice from experienced sleevers. I know I have shrunk my liver and all my bloodwork is good. I will continue to try to stick to it.

Has anyone tried atkins? I do not do well with carbs so instead of the liquid diet I did low carb and I lost 18lbs in the first 10 days and during my 3 month diet I lost 42lbs. I did some blood work during this time and all the levels were perfect my Dr was very impressed and kinda suprized because my weight was still 355lbs with levels even showing that I did not have a fatty liver. I am in the process of getting the gastric sleeve. I was told I had to lose 40lbs before they would do the surgery. They gave me a diet to follow but it was super unhealthy (lol like I know better lol). I do a lot of research and the low-fat high-carb diet seems bad for you. My nutritionist wanted me to drink diet shakes and eat lean cuisines. I have been eating eggs, bacon,cheese, chicken, steak and salads. I almost lost all the weight they wanted me to lose in 3 to 4 months I did it in less than a month. I have realised I have an addiction to sugar. If I don't eat it the cravings go away but if I do eat it I can not stop until I am miserable. I have 5 boys ages from 11 years down to 8 months. I want to be healthy and I do not want to be fat!!!

Me too. My birthday is in June I have to do a 3 month Dr supervised diet and my pcp has no idea what I mean I have to tell her what to write for the diet notes. I started on March 21 and I am losing weight fast on atkins induction diet. I have a ton to lose. I have a whole day of tests on Friday. I probably will have my sugery around my birthday. I will be the big 40!! I gave birth to twins in September 2015. Lots going on here. I have 5 boys all together.
