How do you tell people....
I am not telling friends and some family. Only my parents, sister and husband know. Is Noones business, people are quick to judge. My surgery will be Thursday before memorial. We normally have Friday and Monday off. So I'm taking that Thursday off, and the week after I'm working from home Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Returning to work
If you are around 280, and have a job where you sit all day, how long after surgery did you return to work? I am not active, but I walk, have a sitting job, I am 28 and surgery will be on a Thursday, planning to go back to work Monday/Tuesday. It's a sitting job, I want to do, how many people have done this. I don't want to be the only crazy one Thanks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Not sure who I should tell!
I'm in the similar boat... My parents, sister and husband now. I will not tell anyone else. People are easy to judge and I don't want to hear it. I don't want to tell my boss, even thou I will be out for 2/3 days. I wonder if the Doctor will say on a note I got my gallbladder removed? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Bypass vs Sleeve
I have acid reflux and doctor recommended gastric bypass. I wanted a sleeve bc they don't mess that much with my stomach but bypass fits me best Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Endoscopy
It wasn't bad at all. They spray something on your throat before you sleep. They found an ulcer. Sucks bc now my surgery got pushed back Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Due to my acid reflex, they will be doing the gastric bypass and not sleeve Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

EGD = Ulcers
Had my EGD this morning and looks like I have ulcers. Anyone experience with ulcers? Due to GERD, I will get the gastric bypass. I am scared that the ulcers will push everything back and possibly not have a surgery. Has anyone gone through this? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Gastric bypass or sleeve
Hi, I am 27 years old, 5'2 and 280 lbs. I am waiting for my insurance approval but I am undecided on which surgery to get. At first, I was set on gastric, but I talked to a friend and she's happy she did a sleeve. I am looking for log term weight loss. Any input your would like to give me? Gastric or sleeve?
