  1. Congrats on your WL! I'm almost 10 months out and was also stalled for the longest. Finally broke it when I increased my protein and water intake per my NUT instructions. Trying to get to my GW by my 1 year mark.
  2. I weigh myself once a week for the most part. But since I'm close to my GW I noticing it's becoming more frequent.
  3. I had my surgery done at Evanston Hospital (Northshore University). Although an Ob/Gyne appt. wasn't required, I still seen mine to make sure I was well protected after surgery. I went for birth control methods.
  4. I'm in Skokie and I also had my surgery done by Dr. Linn.
  5. It better than the original?
  6. During my Psych review he asked if I exercised, but nothing that was mandatory. He was more concerned with my mental state than anything else. Took a few hours and I did some testing. However, I do know generally speaking most doctors recommend 10K steps per day. My PCP used to tell me this way before I even thought of surgery. Basically they want you to keep moving, not necessarily exercising. I work at a desk job so I'm pretty much sitting all day. Now I make sure I get up every hour and walk around the office, take the stairs, just anything to move.
  7. How do you measure your food without the scale? Girl I take it everywhere esp when I go to my parents house for dinner. They laugh at me but I don't care. I'm serious I seen too many ppl do revisions.
  8. That is so true. I use my protein intake to keep me on track. My NUT have me at 65-85, she said if I'm going over it's a good indication of overeating. I'm 9 months out and I'm still only eating 4-5 ounces at each meal. I pay too much money to regain so I play no games lol
  9. It was the malabsorption rate for me. I was worried of suffering from malnutrition, and with the Bypass it's not that bad. I have a bad habit of skipping meals esp when I'm stressed out. I will just curl up in my bed and sleep for hours/days if possible. Food is not a priority and with the DS I could serious cause some damage. I'm doing a lot better now but in the beginning I swear it was a struggle. If it wasn't for my daughter who knows where I would be. My water, food, protein intake was low. I lost the weight with no problems but my stomach was constantly in pain. Now I'm eating 3 meals a day <900 calories and I'm almost 9 months out.
  10. I wanted to do the DS but I was too scared. Ended up doing the Bypass instead.
  11. My surgeon and NUT has us doing 3 meals a day plus a shake. No snacking whatsoever.....
  12. I kept it to myself for the most part. Told my immediate family in case I didn't make it off the table. I have kids and I needed to know they would be alright if I didn't make it,
  13. I agree with the other commenters. I'm almost 5 months post-op and I only had constipation issues in the beginning. Now I make sure I incorporate ground flax seed in my daily diet.
  14. This is similar to my situation. Now post-op I'm struggling to eat. If it wasn't for my daughter I would go days without eating. I'm almost 4 weeks out no hunger feeling what's so ever. My doctor said I'm not losing enough cuz I need to eat and drink my Protein shakes. All I had all day yesyerday was some scrambled eggs and I barely finished it. I don't know what to do I'm just not in the mood to eat. Food goes down with no problems just don't have an appetite Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App
  15. Hey ladies so I when I was discharged today and I asked to be weighed. Not sure why but I was curious, I haven't been able to drink plenty of liquids plus I have so much gas pain. They wouldn't let me take any Gas X strips. Anyhow my SW was 270 and at discharge I was 284. Is this normal? Could it be due to the bloating? I'm not hungry and I'm forcing myself to stay hydrated. I tried to walk a bit outside but I just took a Norco and this heat ain't no joke. I feel like I'm abt to pass out. My dad says I'm doing too much, but idk just motivated I guess. 20. Where can I get the Biotine spray from?
  21. So i go to my local GNC and they have a return policy, you can try a protein supplement and if you dont like it you can return for full refund. That is what i have been doing myself That's what's up. Thanks for the tip.
  22. Where did you find the caramel and bananas and cream premier drinks at? I'm scheduled for Aug 5, 2016 trying to get all my stuff together. I've already drink the chocolate.
