Usernametaken I too, regret not just doing the bypass the first time around so I understand how you are feeling. I had a ton of gas pains with the band and they lasted for a few months in my shoulders so I'm not looking forward to that again but I wouldn't let that stop me. I'm determined to succeed at this and live a much better life. Don't be nervous, we got this!!! So happy to have found this forum and meet some people in the same boat I am. Stacylynn1982 It's nice to talk to you. Crazy how the band messed so many of us up. I'm praying you get the approval soon and can feel better. I never had reflux but I do vomit almost everyday with the band and still manage to gain weight because I too can only eat slider foods. Good luck and please keep me updated!! Apmcleish For the most part I am very positive and I'm very motivated to do this right. I really think having this forum and seeing how successful everyone is will help also. My husband is very positive and is with me all the way. I do however have some friends that have said they are afraid I will fail so I think that's where the negative thoughts come in. Hi everyone, I am new to this forum. I was approved for revision from band to rny about a month ago, still have about month til my surgery on May 6th. I'm very excited to get this band out, I have had nothing but problems with it. I never lost a good amount of weight with it and have been in discomfort for 5 yrs now. I do have a lot of worries that I will fail at this wls also and I'm very embarrassed that I haven't been successful at it. It does make me feel so much better reading everyone else's struggles with it and to know I'm not the only one out there. Hi, this is my first time posting anything. I am converting from lapband to rny. My surgery date is May 6th. I'm so grateful to have this forum to come to when I have questions and concerns. I'm very nervous that I'm going to fail just like I did with the lapband. Anyways, good luck to everyone.
