  1. I had the RNY done last Tuesday, 3/29. My surgery and recovery have been awesome. Not gonna lie, the first 36 hours were tough, but since I turned the corner it's been remarkably easy! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Thanks! I've had my surgery now....just last week. It went great! Everything worked out just fine : )
  3. I had the roux-en-y on 3/29. I also had my gallbladder removed. The first 36 hours were very, very tough, but I've been improving steadily since then. I only spent one night in the hospital and my husband was nervous about me going home so soon. It was quick, but I really couldn't rest there at all! Too many interruptions and the IV made noise al night. It was much better in the reclining couch at home. Now that I've turned that wicked corner, I can say it's not too bad. I'm fortunate in that I haven't had the gas pain - air is coming out both ends. LOL. I'm able to drink the Water and close to getting it all in. Closer not that I'm awake more. I'm only on Tylenol for pain and it's managed okay. I've had broth with Protein powder, applesauce, Protein shakes. Going well so far. Now to heal, rest and follow the rules! Good luck everyone!
  4. Hope you are all doing well! I go in tomorrow 3/29 for mine : )
  5. Whine away!!!! UGH!!! I can totally relate! The nurse told me I could go off liquid diet and restart liquids 5 days before surgery. I'm starting liquids tomorrow which will be one week. I'd rather err on the side of caution! Best wishes for a successful surgery and quick recovery!
  6. My surgery was supposed to be today. After completing 2 weeks liquid pre-op and feeling prepared mentally, physically and spending hours preparing to miss work for 2 weeks, I got a call yesterday that my surgeon is sick and needed to cancel. Now, I'm no dummy....I know I don't want a sick surgeon. But today I'm feeling sorry for myself. I'm rescheduled for 3/29. I can be off liquids for a week and then back on. I know this is just a detour in my journey, but it was a huge disappointment . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  7. March 15th for me! I'm on day 2 of the full liquid diet. Good luck everyone!
