Well Day 12 after my bump in the road. I took some piccys yesterday and its amazing at the loss already. I have redfined how much I want to lose and I have my mini goals. I am starting to feel somewhat normal. I still have the infection and I get tired fast but i'll get there I feel so much more positive today than the last 12 days
  2. Hey chickies, I was repositioned on the 25th of March and I have had endless problems, lots of gas, pain that was unexpected from having stomach muscles cut during surgery and now an infection but oh my god am I thrilled to get going after this bump in the road. Good luck ladies I wish you all the success in the world xoxox
  3. Ive got mine posted too!! but I had lost 95 pounds before repositioning so i have some during as well....I am stoked
  4. Heya Im on day 12 of repositioning...Ive been miserable as I have had lots of gas and now an infection that wont go away BUT I had already lost 95 pounds and If you look at my pics I put up today they are amazing I don't feel or look like the same person. this first 6 weeks are the hardest and then comes finding that sweet spot but once its found woooooohooooooooo good luck for your journey xox
  5. Hey everyone, I was rebanded on the 25th of March and just wanted to catch up and see how everyone is going. The first 6 weeks or so is the toughest!!!! Im so proud of all of you and look forward to getting past my bump in the road and going forward and losing all my weight!! good luck xoxoxox
  6. oh god im 12 days into my rebanding and I still get that feeling in my chest up to my shoulder. there is nothing like de-gas or I think its called gas x in USA. Make sure you take em even if you think you don't have gas boy u will be surprised!!!!!
  7. Hi Hi just checking in to see how everyone is doing. Im still feeling rather slow but getting there slowly. I hope you are all doing well. xoxox
  8. Hey hey How is everyone going. I still feel pretty slow I guess is the best word. I have great doctors though that are looking after me. I think Ive put on a lil weight but im carrying some fluid in my lower body and still lots of sweeling from the infection. I hope you are all doing well xoxo
  9. heya jennibells!! I just saw my doc and and ive been on antibiotics since Mon but today he could see one of the internal stitches coming through the wound so we need to keep an eye on it. Its horrible starting all over again isnt it. I think im not too hungry coz the infection has me a bit queasy so maybe in disguise its a good thing lol take care hun xoxo
  10. Hi Ann I was actually assaulted by a client at work. I work in Menal health and she had a meltdown that resulted in me being assaulted for 45 mins before help arrived. She is a very sick lady work didnt protect me very well so here i sit with a repositioned band and a fractured wrist. I just can't wait to hit that sweet spot and get going again you are a true inspiration!!!!!! xoxoxox
  11. Everything should be pretty much going straight through the band, this time is about healing and having scar tissue form over ur stitures and ur band not so much weight loss or feelling full. that comes as you have your fills and you have solid food sitting in the pouch giving it a sense of fullness. I worried first time round the same thing, that something was wrong coz i wasnt instantly full. Believe me if you remember to chew your solids and eat slowly you will feel yourself getting full once you are on solids. The foods you have in this first 5 or 6 weeks you will never really have much again because they will never keep you satisfied good luck
  12. My band was repositioned on the 25th March and this time has so not been a walk in the park but its surgery where they blow air into your cavity to make it easier to get to your stomach, they move your liver to get to it then they play silly buggers with your belly. Im in ALOT of pain with gas and soooooooooo not a lady when I release it in Australia we have degas tablets, they are the best invention eva!!!!! By the afternoon im sore and tired and a lil cranky but in 12 months with my band i had lost 95 pounds so its more than worth the pain now!!!! You definately will feel hungry because you have no fill and the day that sweet spot is found is amazing. It only took me 3 fills to get there. I'm not too hungry but when I do get those low growling damn I want real food pains I have a drink of water, milk or cordial. The thing is very soon you won't feel that hunger ever again. I got to the point that I was eating for fuel not just coz of emotions, boredom or the taste (although u appreciate taste in the small portions you have) I wish you all the best of luck and a pain free and healthy weight loss xoxox

On Monday I went to see my GP as my wounds didn;t look great. He said I have an infection in at least one of them the others seem ok!! No wonder I have still been so sore. I went onto mushy kinda foods yesterday....luckily I guess I know what I can and can't eat at this stage so I have been keeping full, unfortunately not busy though. My mind is going insane having way too much time on my hands to think

  15. ekkkkkkk...I gots an infection in one of my wounds I just wanna scream atm I can't wait to get through this bit. I'm not hungry though lucky I have been getting lots of yummy liquidy stuff to keep me going, how are you all doing xoxo
  16. Hi everyone, Its 8 days since they repostioned my band. They had to cut through stomach muscles to get to it so I have been alot sorer than I would of liked. I am angry and frustrated as I am fighting the mental anguish of this having to be done from an assault at work. I have an infection in one of my wounds so its being a slow run but i'll get there. This has made me more determined to succeed than eva though. To lose this much weight in a lifetime seems unreal but equally attainable, you wouldnt be human to fall of track sometimes. It's about learning to believe in yourself ahhhh if only i can learn to take my own advice. Good luck guys n gals even though I don't know any of you personally you are all a huge part of my journey to healthiness!!!!! xoxoxox
  17. I had a revision of my band on the 25th. I feel ikky, not too much pain but extremely uncomfy. I guess this was more involved than the first band but I am dying to feel better and get over this bump. It took me nearly 5 weeks the 1st time to feel normal, all our bodies are different and cope different, don't push yourself though. I did and ended up paying dearly and recovery and exercise took longer to start!!! good luck your on your bike and ready to take of the training wheels xoxoxox
  18. I just wish I wasnt in the pain I am in but this time round the surgery was more involved. I just can't wait to start feeling better. Congrats jennibells. Im so glad you are feeling so great and positive....ill follow in your footprints hehe xoxo
  19. Hiya Heartfire, thanks so much hun. I am feeling more positive each morning I wake. I need to go to the doc this morning as 3 of my wounds are weeping but I have the best GP. I have started the whole liquid mushy faze again, The one great thing is that my surgeon basically said that I know what I can and can't eat to do the best for my band so im on a diet between mushies and liquid. Im not really hungry. I think im a bit sore to be hungry. I'm not to worried I went 6 weeks before the band not eating much..I am just elated I still have my friend!! I call it Kekona it means second born in Hawaiian and I guess thats how i will feel in a few days!!! xoxoxox
  20. At 5pm on the 25th March I closed my eyes to the lovely sound of Dr Bruce saying we will look after you. At 6.45pm I am in recover feeling totally nauseated and wanting drugs fast!!!!! After three lots of meds to stop me throwing up I was wheeled to my room at 7.30pm I did well til 3am when I woke in alot of pain. When the doc came round in the morning he said he had to cut away alot of stomach muscle to get to the band, pull the slip back through and re stitch it in place. I didnt feel like such a whoooose coz the pain is much more severe this time through. Broken left arm canula in the other wrist I spent a while continplating the toilet, this whole experience has been frustrating and painful both emotionally and physically. My husband had copped a barrage of abuse when I have been in pain and cranky, bring on the weight loss and goodbye wind pain pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :frown::cool2::frown::frown::frown::frown:

  22. how are you all going, I am on the other side in alot more pain than I would of hoped but i still have my band all fixed and in the place she should b. I hope you are all doing well xoxo
  23. Ahh well things havent gone as smoothly as i would of liked... I do still have the same band. I had a massive slip and my doctor had to cut through alot of stomach muscle to umm I guess untangle the band. He then had to pull the slip back throug and repostion it, hence the extra pain and its taking so much longer to settle than last time. I know its only day 5 I guess I am terribly impatient amd emotional as the assault leading to the slip wasnt my fault. I am terribly glad I still have my band and extremely grateful for my amazing surgeon and anethatist. thank you all for the support im pretty cranky and fed up, Wish I could punch a boxing bag!!!!!!!! xixixixi
  24. Well I never thought 13 months later I would be here being rebanded...I am so nervous about the op. So should I say see you alll on the other side of the other side...Fingers crossed I come out with another band
