  2. I had mine on the 15th. I hurt quite a bit day 1. I was on a pain pump but walking eased the pain more than anything for me. I had a foley catheter which i begged for them to remove. I was given a liquid diet the next morning luckily I never felt nausea or fell ill. Experienced difficulty with gas and unable to have bm, don't be shy this happens frequently after surgery the doctors usually have already ordered something. Pain pump was removed the night after surgery. You will need to measure every ice chip, liquid you take and every thing you put out while in the hospital. My regular meds was restarted day after surgery. I was discharged on the morning of day 3 without problems. Everyone's experience is different this was mine. So far at home I've been facing some cravings and head hunger. I took some pain meds the first 2 days home but haven't needed anything since. Tomorrow will be a week and only one incision is still tender. Walk walk walk it helps with pain and gas. I've lost 10lbs this week which I feel is excessive but I'm excited to see it! Good luck to yall. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App

  4. If I understand correctly only about 15% actually have dumping. I understand your fear but don't let it dictate your life. Follow your diet plan when your visit and you will avoid most issues. Most places offer something that in moderation you can eat. Enjoy your visits with your son!! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App
  5. Had RNY March 15th been home 2 days...I have horrible head hunger. I think I want everything. My biggest concern is i wasn't paying attention and really had more Protein Shake than I was told I could handle (5 oz)...the issue us I had NO issues. This scares me. As far as pain it varies but walking seems to be my best friend and works better than the pain meds. Any advice would be awesome I'm 5'2 HW 239 SW 225 CW 218 Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App

  8. I think I've told anyone who would listen, my surgery is March 15th. I'm also a nurse so I encourage everyone to ask questions but to please keep their judgments to themselves. My life is an open book and I want their prayers and good vibes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App
  9. My surgeon said my liver was fine based on a manual check and I'm more bottom heavy than abdominal heavy. I was put on a 14 day preop due to my bmi of 57. I have lost about 30lbs. Hopefully you don't have to do it. ...Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've been on the preop liquid diet on day 11 and have lost only about 8.2 lbs. I'm proud for those that's dropping large numbers but begging for advice. My surgery is March 15th. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using the BariatricPal App
