  1. I agree that everyone is so different. I had the sleeve and a hiatal hernia repair. Day after surgery I felt sore in the sense that I had done a bunch of sit ups that I'm not used to but that quickly faded. The worse pain for me was at the drain site. For some reason, it really hurt me making it difficult to walk and breath. The minute it came out was instant relief.
  2. This has been one of the hardest things for me to adapt to. It's torture not to drink while eating AND have to wait 30 to 60 minutes after. Sent from my ZTE A2017U using the BariatricPal App
  3. @@Seastars With regard to the hunger you're feeling, when you follow up with your team about the ppi you're taking, maybe you can also look into taking a probiotic. The one I take is a pre and probiotic and really helps with gut health. I take one in the morning and then take my ppi when I get home from work. I'm not a doctor but it might help you.
  4. Isn't Sam's Club only 12 in a box versus Costco's 18? Sent from my ZTE A2017U using the BariatricPal App

  6. I cheated at the end of day 1 on mine. For the next 7 days I had zero appetite as well and found it very easy to stick to the plan. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  7. This information is not on the envelopes the Vitamins come in: Should wear them 8 hours, no more than 9 (before I knew this I kept mine on for 24 hours) Should wear them in the least fatty area you can find (I alternated between my chest and tops of my feet) Don't expose them to the sun. There was a post on here where someone spent some time in the sun with her patch exposed and when she took it off, she had a burn/reaction on her skin. I don't think she ever came back to say if it was the sun exposure that caused it or not but to be safe, keep covered. I will have my 3 month labs done in September so I hope all my numbers will look as good as my Vitamin D ones.
  8. I'm at 15lbs lost since surgery (I'm in week 4 now). My exercise hasn't been consistent (it wasn't before either) but like you, when I do walk it's at work during my two 10 minute breaks and 30 minutes (or close to) at lunch. Weight loss is 80% diet so you may be like me and need more calories to lose. Not sure how much you're getting in but I try to hit at least 800 a day plus around 100+ ounces of fluids. Good luck, I know first hand how frustrating it is to see so many posts of people losing rapidly while we're in the slow lane. I just keep reminding myself a loss is a loss.
  9. I've been using the patches since 3/5/16 but the only labs I've had tested before and after are Vitamin D3. My levels have gone up (started off dangerously deficient in November 2014). If you look through my recent posts, you'll find a topic on the patches where I listed my lab results from 11/2014 through 7/2016.

  11. Dr. alejandro lopez with Alo Bariatrics does single incision sleeve but it's about $1500 more. Had one gal when I went that had it done. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  12. I've lost 12 lbs in 4 weeks. I was hoping to be a fast loser but I'm not going to balk at an average of 3 lbs a week. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App

  15. Right now when I do use it, I use Jiff powdered peanut butter because the only ingredient is peanuts. I bought the PB2 and PB2+chocolate for the kids. They make it and use it on things like toast, bagels and for dipping fruit into.
  16. My surgery was on a Thursday and I returned to work on the following Monday. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  17. Mine says women should be between 40-60g. I find that to be way too low, especially for my weight. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  18. Less fat and calories than traditional Peanut Butter. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  19. Hi, can I ask you how much weight did you lose for surgery?? You and I are the same height & weight. I am so scared I haven't lost enough weight for a safe procedure. I am self pay and had my surgery in Mexico so I wasn't required to lose any weight. With that being said, I did lose 59lbs pre-op (started 1/18/16) because it would have cost me additional money if I was above a 50 bmi. I squeaked in 6lbs under the weight I needed to be to avoid that extra cost.
  20. Hemp Protein is also an option. Haven't tried it so I can't speak on taste. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  21. Mine was 15 days. A week of 2 Protein shakes and one meal of salad with protein. 8 days of Clear liquids. I cheated once, day 1 of the liquid diet. After that, I stuck to what I was supposed to. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  22. I started regular foods on Friday and made my second round of this last night. It's a tasty 2 oz meal I am enjoying once a day. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  23. I made sure to drink a bottle of Powerade Zero a day for the electrolytes. That may help. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
  24. I just couldn't do sf popsicles. Bought some, took one lick and my kids enjoyed the rest of the box. Sent from my Moto G (4) using the BariatricPal App
