  2. My surgery date got moved back from June 15 to June 29. My doctor's office thought I only needed ONE appointment with the nutritionist, but it turned out I needed three. so i'm having my 3rd appt tomorrow morning, and hopefully the June 29 date will go thru. At first i was so upset, but then someone said to me, "at least its in the same month!" so that is what i'm going to say to you. At least you're still in the same month!

  7. Love your story, Blue1213! You look great! I can totally relate, I always had crappy vacations too. Im getting my sleeve on June 15. I have 25 years worth of vacation pics where i look awful! i finally got sick of taking nice vacations (including Disney World!) and never really having that great of a time, because i hated the way i looked. Specially since we always go places where you're gonna be in a bathing suit. i would spend $$$ buying plus size bathing suits and cover ups, sundresses, etc...and STILL not like the way i looked. We have a big trip planned in November for Cozumel, and i'm gonna be ready!!!
  8. Me! My date is June 15, and I just found out 2 days ago. I'm so excited! I was really lucky that my insurance only required ONE appointment with a nutritionist. I still had to do all the other stuff, psych, endoscopy... Congrats and good luck, CrissyCakes! We got this!!!

  12. Congrats, Pink Ninja, glad it went well! I'm having my endoscopy this thursday, its the LAST STEP in all the steps we have to take. Good luck to all of us!
  13. It is so frustrating to have our futures in the hands of other people. Specially when the office staff is inept. I have my final appointment with my surgeon next monday, and I pray that all my paperwork will be in order when they send it in. Good luck to all of us!

  15. Maybe I am weird, but I actually look forward to the going to sleep part, lol. I have had several surgeries in my life, and enjoyed that part of every single one. It's like you are being told it's ok to take a nap, and you get a really good sleep! And when you wake up, you're all fixed! I havent had my sleeve surgery yet, but i'm sure they give valium or something like that if you are anxious. Then, before you know it, you'll be waking up! Good luck, and don't worry!

  17. Thank you for that excellent summary! I have BCBS-Federal, so that was helpful. I am just starting on my weight loss journey, my first appointment with the surgeon is on March 7, 2016. So I have many hoops to jump thru, but i'm ready! May I ask, what is the purpose of the endoscopy? does everyone have to get that?
