  13. Hello everyone, My info was submitted to insurance on 5/18- There is a 15 business day turn around and now it is the waiting game. My coordinator said we should be ready to roll late June early July.
  14. I have tried Splenda, sweet and low, stevia, truvia, equal (not bad for green tea) and so far sweet and low is winning for coffee. I think I will try a gradual process like @@Christinamo7 suggested. All of these sweeteners seem to have a lingering aftertaste. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Trying to significantly reduce carb intake, who knew 1 teaspoon has 4 carbs!! Anyhow, I usually use 3 teaspoons in my coffee and I am struggling to find an alternative, any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  20. Thanks guys I have an appointment with the nutritionist tomorrow for my third check. I don't remember ever having a sodium issue in the past but it's definitely something I'm going to have to be conscious of. I think I also will try a Water pill are even diurex! I am also on a sleeping pill which slows everything down as it is the joys. Thank you to everyone for the feedback! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  24. OK so I'm a bit annoyed and frustrated and have decided to vent for the first time within the confines of this forum.I have been trying to lose weight for the past few months during the three-month nutrition requirement. I have been so worried about having a net gain that I have been maintaining 1350 cal daysand exercising 3 to 4 days a week. While I am clearly losing inches The scale refuses to budge!!! I am so frustrated and every time I go to my nutritionist I am apparently retaining Water every time? I am worried that on my final weigh-in day with my luck I'll be retaining water and show a gain. Can you be declined if you gain even 1 pound? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  25. Congrats! I'm currently in the last 3rd of my 3 month weight management. The time has flown by! Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  29. Thank you everyone for the advice, I actually just left a message for my program coordinator asking for another consult. I am hoping to hear from them within 24 hours and then I can make a better informed decision.

  31. Thank you for the welcome. Well. for starters I am getting a lot of people telling me they do not understand why I am even getting the surgery including my nutritionist which I found a bit rude but none the less. I have never had a surgical procedure done so I am a bit worried about that. I am curious as far as whether or not you can control the weight loss. For example at one point if I become comfortable at a specific weight, will it be difficult to maintain or will I be full all of the time? Secondly I wonder how often deaths really do occur related to surgical complications? What are the biggest issues you have faced because of it? I already know about dumping and the possibility of hair loss, I suppose I am curious to know why or how you decided.
