  7. So I figured I would update everyone on my journey. I was 6 months post op on August 12. I have lost over 42.25 inches and I'm down 85 pounds. I know it is normal but I have a hard time seeing the weight loss. I know the scale is moving but I still feel huge. I still have about 50 pounds to go but thought I'd share some pics. The one in the black pants was the first day of school last year. The one in the dress was the first day of school this year. The other two are just a before and after side view. 16. Don't stress it right now. I lost just a little during the first 3 months of my supervised weight loss then gainers back up to my starting weight in month 4. Then lost a few pounds through months 5 and 6. My insurance just didn't want you to go above your starting weight at the end of the 6 month supervised weight loss. 17. I taught this past year and had my surgery in February my surgery was on a Friday so I was going to take sick days for Thursday and Friday and then the following week. I got lucky though and we had a big snow storm and I only had to take 3 sick days. I was originally going have my surgery over Christmas break but my paperwork didn't get submitted for insurance approval as soon as I expected. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. Weighing in earlier as I'm getting ready to head out for vacation and in will not be weighing tomorrow. 235.5 this morning! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. Getting under 250 lbs. My students telling me before school ended that I had lost so much weight. One student even said, " at the beginning of the semester you were huge, now you're not." Being called skinny. (I'm still no where near skinny but it is nice to hear that people notice the changes.). Weighing less than my hubby. Can't wait to see where I am Feb. 12 when I Celebrate my 1 year post op. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. Hope you are feeling better by now. It almost sounds as though you may have had an esophageal dilation. I had to have one done when they did my EGD because part of my throat was so narrow. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
