They're gonna do a scope on you. You will be sleep. It's a Upper endoscopy, also known as EGD, is a procedure in which a thin scope with a light and camera at its tip is used to look inside the upper digestive tract -- the esophagus, stomach, and first part of the small intestine, called the duodenum. That's how I found out as well.

GERD is Gastoroesophageal Reflux Disease AKA acid reflux.

I chose the RNY because I have GERD and it's the best procedure for patients with reflux. Plus I figured since I was doing it, I want the classic procedure.
