  1. I’m a week out post op. I can see results already. My insurance paid for it. I was shocked that they would because although I had excess skin it wasn’t to bad. I can definitely see a difference though even through the swelling! My surgeon said that minor fixes can be discussed (ie dog ear and fluid) if need be. I’m 52 years old and my mother in law 79 yes young as well as my sister in law 66 years young are also going to get it! Lol on the meds right now so not sure if I’ve provided a little information/ personal experience to you. I think they have to refer to it this way plus liposuction and muscle repair isn’t included. I want to add that my surgeon went a little bit past my hips and I was like waaaa when I saw this!
  2. My first winter feeling the cold breeze down there lol and the wind almost blows me away now that I’m so much smaller.
  3. Hello how’s everyone?! Thanks so much for the replies. I’m fluctuating between 140-147 lbs. @bellabloom I started having more snacks lol and I maintain that way. Phinley, I’ve learned can’t eat to heavy of a carb Vfor instance, omg potatoes are so heavy feeling maybe half cup of rice and bread is still like a snake eating a small mouse. I do purée half of any kind of bean soup and that is my “jam” @berry78. I also realize how active I am can never sit still I was that way pre vsg but now is way different. My work requires it too. So I guess that’s affecting my weight too. I hope everyone is doing well!!!
  4. Hello everyone, I will be a year out in January an d becoming very thin lol. An you guys tell me how it's been for you? Like when does it kinda stop?
  5. Thanks for the kindness! I had the surgery Monday and survived it I am now a loser LOL!!! I was able to leave the next day, I was unable to conceptualize "just get your liquids in" versus Protein until I wasn't s fuzzy from those meds. I cannot get Premier Protein down right not and was freaking out about it too! As far as pain the area where the most work was done by my surgeon stings and the rest of my stomach feels like how it did when i was a little chubby gal running too much and too fast so as to catch up with everyone. (TMI) was so worried about the gas which I avoided with all the tips! But it is constipation that's trying to make me get all teary along with a visit from an unexpected aunt Flow it'll be okay tho but not without a fight!

  10. It's a terrible CHOICE and I'm ashamed that I am thinking about that heart shaped salami in the freezer I'm serving for our gathering New Years eve. My 19 year old daughter set the bar high she was sleeved 11/14 and has been a perfect saint Lol it's the same choices that got me into this!

  16. Armygalbonnie I'm glad u posted because my 19 year old daughter was sleeved on the 14th and I made a small dinner without her favorites but enough for my 27 year old autistic son and me (who will get vsg on December 15th). Even though I made her pureed cream of mushroom Soup and muscle milk with Almond milk and apple sauce she says the same thing! It lessens my guilt of having a final food funeral lol hang in there Xnattio you are about to be even more gorgeous you got this!!! It's crazy that food is our (well mines anyway) drug yet we need it to live! Sent from my SM-G360T1 using the BariatricPal App
