Have you looked at any topical applications? Maybe some Retnin-A. I can imagine the fluids will make the most difference. Congrats on being so close to goal, hopefully everything levels out soon. Actually I haven't looked into that yet, good tip. The thing is it comes and goes. Its really weird. Guess its time for some good concealer! Lol!!

So I've written before about my "self contained leak" and being hospitalized for sepsis. I was there for 5 days and was on multiple antibiotics.. Days later admitted again for dehydration. When this all happened i was on week 5 and was on soft foods..but other than that..I'm starting to feel a little better and am still healing. And I'm so thankful to God for his healing. I do have a concern though, I feel so weak and look absolutely like I'm wasting away ( dark circles around the eyes, I don't even recognize myself when I look in the mirror, my collar bone is sticking out horribly).., I've been on full liquid for about 2 weeks and still have another week. I've lost 50 lbs in 2 months. My Dr. Isn't concerned with protein but more focused on fluids. The thing is I'm only 30 lbs from goal weight. I'm just afraid Im starting to look malnourished...just needed to vent..thanks everyone...

Absolutely sepsis is definitely nothing to play with. I thank God for his healing. But realize I still have quite a ways to go. Keeping my eyes open on how I feel daily is key!!

I'm so sorry you have gone thru all these complications. I too have had complications but my leak was contained and I developed sepsis, it was the sticu for me and couldn't see my baby either it was horrible... No operations needed, but still struggling with the weakness and just overall feeling not like myself..just got home yesterday from heart palpitations and dehydration... I hope things get better for you..its a bumpy road but the Good Lord will get you thru this..praying for complete healing for you..

Be very cautious if the nausea doesn't go away I would follow up with my Dr. I thought it was normal when I felt that way. Nausea and weak @week 3...ended up being sepsis due to a small leak.....if you don't feel right seek help...

I have been having the same issues as you..I had my surgery 12/22/15, and still am on period. Its really annoying just worried when it will stop since I'm anemic.

Just make sure you listen to your body..if you don't feel something is right go to the e.r...please..the Dr's think I had the sepsis for a total of 2 weeks..if I would have waited any longer..well...I may not have made it.. Glory to God he has been my rock????

Hi everyone new here, just wanted to share my story hoping it will help someone in the future. And at the same time share your experience please. I was sleeved 12/22/15 with no complications week 3-5 post op I noticed how I was extremely nauseous and really didn't want to eat nor hardly drink. I was told it was normal so I figured it would pass..then week 5...got off of work on a Wednesday evening..and had this extreme feeling of cold and shaking to where I could hardly drive..I went home covered myself with 4 blankets and still couldn't warm up. I then had my husband call the surgeon and I then began to puke. My husband was told to rush me in..so we drove an hour to the e.r where my temp was 101.6 and my heart rate was high..I was automatically admitted. Ultrasound, ct scan and they believed I had a leak. Then the next morning I had a swallow test and well..I didn't have one but they discovered I had liquid and air in my stomach cavity. Oh and did I mention I had an infection.(sepsis) I was told I had an abscess or pinhole leak that healed itself. So I stayed in the sticu for 2 days npo, so very nauseous I felt horrible.. I was hooked up with loads of antibiotics and iv fluids...once everything was stable enough for the surgeon I was moved to a less monitored area..I was extremely dizzy and weak so I stayed there for 3 days, and am home as of yesterday...the only thing I am worried about is if there was "fluid" inside my abdominal cavity shouldn't I have had a drain put in..I'm just a tad bit worried as now that I'm home my side is kinda bothering me...any help would be greatly appreciated!! I'm new on here and I just wanted to share on 1/28 I felt horrible. I was extremely cold, and couldn't stop shaking to the point I could hardly drive.I came home and covered myself with 3 blankets and couldn't warm up called the surgeon and began to puke. Needless to say I was rushed to the e.r where I was running a 101.5 fever and bp was really high. Ct scan showed fluid and air in my abdominal cavity. Swallow test showed no leak. They ruled it a once abscess or pinhole leak that healed itself..spent 2 days in the sticu Npo since I was soooo nauseous and another 3 floor level where I was so weak nauseous and dizzy that I had to have help to do anything. Oh did I mention I was sepsis. 5 days of intense antibiotics and loads of iv fluids. All my levels evened out.. And now I'm on 2 different antibiotics... Only thing that seems unsettling to me is why no drain to remove the "liquid", I was told that they were guaging how I felt to send me home..which I was better but I still am uneasy about this... I know these are the best Dr's in Houston but it just doesn't sound right...help!
