  1. Hi Everybody! Ebony - I hope you are feeling better! Fanny - I wish I lived close enough to help you pack! I hope everything goes well! :tongue2: Glouc - Happy Tuesday! PJTP: I left work early. I am not feeling very well. Hopefully with some rest I can be good for my trip tomorrow. It was 109 in Phoenix yesterday! This morning it was 49 here in the DC Metro area!
  2. I am doing great! So far so good here - it appears quiet and calm. I am pretty sure I am probably in the same boat now. We can take turns rowing! lol Yes, I have that type of job. I never know what I am going to get from day to day. It can really get on my nerves.
  3. I bet you are right! I am going with an open mind and heart. I am really looking forward to seeing my husbands daughters. I do not have a thing against his ex - she has always been nice to me anytime we have been at the same events. I met my husband years after they split. Also - thank you for my picture comment. I cropped those two pics together because sometime I forget how far I have come in my wl struggle.
  4. I have been at a stall for a few months now. I need to up the exercise! I go through spurts of no/low motivation. I joined a gym closer to my house so hopefully I can kick my self in the rear to get going again! :smile2:
  5. Hi Everyone! I would love to have PS but sadly it is so expensive I do not think it will be happening anytime soon. I still have about 40 pounds I would like to lose.
  6. krtork - I am so sorry about your pet! so sad :smile2: Ebony - Your date sounds awesome! Maybe you, Beth and I could meet in NYC for lunch and a show! LilMissDiva - I agree with you. I hope we can move on - so very sad. PJTP: I am leaving on Wednesday for Phoenix. It may be a VERY odd trip. My step daughter is having a baby shower on Friday. My husbands ex - sent me a plane ticket to attend. All three of my step daughters will be attending the shower. I am not sure how two of them feel about me - why on earth the ex would send me a plane ticket - very nervous about the whole trip - but also excited to see the middle step daughter who I adore. Oh and it is a surprise so my step daughter does not know I will be attending.
  7. Hey Chicka! I am watching Greys Anatomy tonight! So happy it is back on! My daughter is almost done with the flu. She was really sick for a few days - thank god for tamiflu!! We are the same age Ebony!
  8. Good Luck with your surgery!! 12 pounds - WOW!! Awesome!
  9. Hello my Peeps!! :tongue2:
  10. Congratulations Ebony! I am soooo happy for you! (I have no idea what is going on around here - I hope it gets worked out soon for everyone. This site really helped me especially during my first year.)
  11. She is in Texas. I sent an email to her father but have heard nothing back from him. She has a band so I am thankful she has not been vomiting. She just got home from the ER - she had a 103.5 temp. She feels terrible. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
  12. Good Morning All! My youngest daughter has H1N1 flu. It stinks that she is 1800 miles away.
  13. But wait...there's more!! :tt1: WIN!!
  14. PJTP: I have to pack today for my trip to Colorado. I am looking forward to spending time in the mountains - seeing my friends and the 'rents. Has anyone heard from Donna T.? I have not seen her on fb or on here in a LONG time. I have sent her emails with no response. Just wondering if she is doing ok.
  15. Wow! I could use some yard work at my house if you want to make this a regular work out routine! lol Salt is also my nemisis - but it usually tastes sooo good! It is a love/hate relationship! I hate when that happens. [quote name=luluc;1320484* DH's bday today & he is still sleeping. i would LOVE for him to come downstairs and say lets blow off the gym ; go have brunch somewhere' date=' on some patio and chill for the day. he's in pyscho workout mode right now & i don't see that happening. i much rather some poached eggs on some yummy cream sauce w/a bloody mary (won't weigh if i do)[/quote] Happy Birthday to your DH! Maybe you could work out and then go for your yummy breakfast with libations!
  16. The CEO's I know are hard working people. They have ALL of the responsibility. I am happy not to be a CEO - I like my free time!
  17. The Appalachian Trail off of highway 7 by Snickerville Pike. It is an awesome and quite rugged trail. Lots of up and down steep hills with boulers and rocks. We crossed two little streams which was fun for us - well except for Sandy who did not want to get her little paws wet! My dogs are still tired!
  18. CEO's rely on CFO's and their finance/accounting teams. My CEO briefly looks at the books - I am the one who is doing the work. A secretary is not qualified to do what I do - thankfully since I have spent many years in school and many dollars on tuition! hahahaha
  19. PJTP: My calves and thighs are so sore from the hike yesterday! I think I will just do the elliptical today!
  20. Amen Sista! I totally agree!
  21. She was shaking her head so I wasnt sure what was wrong. Then I saw the yellow jacket stinging her - I had to call my husband over to help since I am allergic. I was so afraid her face would swell but thankfully she was ok. I do not know what I would done if she had a reaction and I was a mile up the trail. She is such a sweet dog - she is my little sweetheart. <3
  22. It is so hard for me to beleive that kids are not learning cursive. That is so sad. I am happy that I got my girls through school and out of the house. I do not envy you all still going through the school issues! PJTP: I just came home from a LONG hike on the appalachian trail. It was fun although very hilly! I am soooo tired! My little Sheltie got stung on her face by a yellow jacket. I felt so bad for her! My husband and I are just getting up from a little nap - the dogs still want to stay in their little beds. It was a nice time. PJTP:
  23. I slice and roast the zucchini with a little olive oil and spices. Then add the roasted zucchini in the place of the noodles. I use my own homemade spaghetti sauce with hot Italian sausage plus smoked fontina cheese, mozzarella, provolone and Romano along with cottage or ricotta. Bake until everything is hot and bubbly. Just remember that the zucchini has a lot of liquid so do not use as much sauce as you normally would.
  24. PJTP: I made zucchini lasagna - it was OMGWTF you have got to be kidding me... Good!!!
