Hubby's Employer Excludes WLS. What now?
It's funny because the HR dept. of his work, and UHC rep both said the same thing the True Results Lady said about the insurance. It would make sense that it would have to be across the board. I just want to try to get it covered.. maybe he excluded it because no one ever asked. Maybe I will pave the way for banders at hubby's job. According to hubby, many people need it. I would go to Mexico or pay out of pocket but hubby and I are buying a business and all available cash and credit have to go to that. If anything, I will have to wait until our business opens and I will do the payment plan.

Hubby's Employer Excludes WLS. What now?
Well I know it is going to cost. It won't be as much however as covering everyone if they cover just me.

Hubby's Employer Excludes WLS. What now?
I spoke to the True Results Center I would be going through. They said I can request his employer to add it to my coverage. All hubby's boss would have to do is call the insurance company and tell them to cover it for me. That's it. Hubby is tight with his boss so he is gonna try to get him to call. I also have an emotional letter (True Results idea) ready. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Hubby's Employer Excludes WLS. What now?
I read somewhere.. that the employer might be able to submit an exception on a specific case or submit a rider or something. I am trying to look into it. Hubby and I are buying a business and really cannot afford the whol $15,000 right now.

Hubby's Employer Excludes WLS. What now?
Just got off the phone with my hubby's employer (who health insurance is through). They have specifically excluded weight loss surgery from coverage. What do I do now? Anyone else been in this boat? The Insurance is through UHC. :confused2:

Silly Surgery Question
HAPPYONE- Is your surgeon with True Results? I am going to my Seminar Tommorrow and I have my diagnostic on the 18th. What do you think of the practice? What has been the process for you?

United HC Question
O.K. my deductible (in network) is $1,000. Then 80/20 up to $2,000. What does this mean? Am I going to pay $3,000 or $2,000 or just the deductible. Can someone explain this to me in kindergarten terms. I just don't get it.. Thanks

Silly Surgery Question
eigna-I'm worried about that too. I had a panic wave come over me yesterday. What if I die in surgery? I'm trying so hard not to "go there". Tracy- I'm thinking about telling the docs I won't wear granny panties (that go up to there) if they will let me wear underwear. Don't know why this is an issue with me. How long was your surgery?, When did you go home?

Post op diahreaah? (Don't know if I spelled that right)

Silly Surgery Question
O.K. something I just thought about (haven't been banded yet). When you have surgery.. are you completely naked or can you have your underwear on? I know it's a weird question but it helps to know "what to expect".

Whats up with pasta?
We use Soba noodles now with many things like soups. Never tried with spaghetti sauce.

Question from a Newbie
Is it required to count calories? I am just starting my journey (going to a seminar this weekend and having the diagnostic on the 18th) and I am a horrible calorie counter. The best way for me to lose in the past (although I've never kept it off) is to do Protein and green vegetables. You think I may be able to do that once I am banded? Thanks

Whats up with pasta?
Oh my Gosh!! No more Spaghetti? I may have to re-think this lap band thing!!

Oprah needs a lapband....
I actually think Oprah is annoying. I think she is completely full of herself. And I am VERY upset that the Discovery Health Channel next year will be the Oprah channel.
