  1. I appreciate the reply and I did just know review the study you attached. I agree people are different but I will have to do more evidence based research. A study with only 16 subjects is too small to take as proven evidence
  2. I am so thankful to the person who posted you can only digest 30gm of Protein at a time and the rest is potential converted to fat. Even though my Protein shakes have been a huge help during my initial post op phase I am now going to transition them out of my diet and refocus on adjusting my intake of animal and plant based protein. I feel better and fuller already. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  3. Is anyone having issues with constipation. If so which fiber products are you using Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  4. You will feel better when you get all your Protein in. I use isopure lean from GNC low carb 25gm protein. Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  5. Anyone eating Peanut Butter Sent from my SM-G920V using the BariatricPal App
  6. I was at a conference just this past week I am only 4 weeks out. I ate fish very slowly and enjoyed the conversation.
  7. I am only 2 1/2 weeks out and I feel wonderful. I went out to eat twice. First time was a dinner I had Rio poached eggs well done and I mashed them up, the next time I ordered steamed Fish which I mashed up and chewed well. I enjoyed the company and was not jealous. Eating out is about socializing and I really don't want to loose that.
  8. Make sure you drink a lot of water the days prior to surgery I mean a lot to keep hydrated
  9. So much better today. Like a new women. Getting my fluid in and using isopure shakes to help get my protein
  10. Isopure is wonderful 25gm of protein I am using the ready made less air bubbles means less gas. They also make a clear drink that has 40gms per bottle
  11. Drink a gallon of water daily. In general people are dehydrate so post op when you are having a hard time getting your fluids in going in hydrated will help
  12. What really bothers me is people make it out to be about vanity and feel they have the right to say anything but would these same people say something to someone who say got breast augmentation, liposuction, botox. We are doing this for health reasons and maybe a little vanity but that is ok.
  13. I was given a day by day meal plan for the first 3 months. I had back off and focus more on the intake of fluids I was dehydrated and needed some IV fluids. I was concentrating on getting my protein but by doing that I became severely dehydrated. Much better now, but if you are not urinating every few hours be careful it sneaks up on you.
  14. Great advice about stop eating after 30 minutes that seems like great long term goal
  15. Totally agree with you, for most people avoiding sweets is a problem ketchup will be my downfall
  16. Don't over cook them I added some ketchup to keep them loose. Glad to hear about the gas. I am just feeling weak
  17. How is the gas today
  18. Took 1 hour to eat 3oz of pureed chicken. I did manage to drink 8 oz powerade zero earlier today. Just can't handle plain water.
  19. I was told I could start puree foods but for me it has been to much to fast. I was having a hard time drinking plain water but vitamin water has been easier to swallow.
  20. I am a low BMW 35.5 when I got approved I also have type 2 Dm. Just love some of the tips I already read about and would love to read more and share.
