  1. I just threw the Diet Coke chicken in the CP and let me tell you it smells AMAZING!!! You must try this!
  2. Hmmmm.... our support group is having a carry in next month. I'm off to check out the carbs on the crust (wouldn't want to make the RNYers sick LOL) Sounds great!
  3. Haven't tried ($$$) but wondering if it might be helpful for those without decent restriction. I just had my third fill and finally feel like my band is working....but up until now I would have killed for a little help.
  4. Used to live in Cheyenne. Have a house in Wheatland, and am now even further north in Cody.
  5. No idea- I have sent the link to my nurse.... sounded like an idea for those that don't have restriction yet.
  6. these? Learn How FullBar Helps You Lose Weight or know of anything similar?
  7. Fullbars? Learn How FullBar Helps You Lose Weight Feedback?
  8. My first fill was 2cc in my 10cc band... only one more week till my second fill, WAHOOOO!
  9. Just try to limit your servings so you don't get used to eating the "old" way again. I am freaking starving but I am doing everything I can not to eat more than 1 cup at a meal. Just stick with the band rules. I posted them at home and at work until I get my fill, I'm just like you.... it's a mind game at this point so we really just have to do whatever we can to win it until restriction.
  10. Thank you all so much! All I can think is that I've somehow stretched my pouch and that's why I'm not staying full... Ugh!
  11. How much are you eating per meal? You are right I do stay full, it's just taking more than I would like to get full. I wish they would move up my filll but my Dr. is really on the conservative side, I just added scrambled eggs and Cream of Wheat this week.
  12. Is this the BH that everyone is always talking about? :rolleyes2: I was banded 3/25. In the past few weeks I have learned what hunger and full both feel like.... but now although down 20+ pounds, suddenly I can eat anything in any amount!!! It takes way more than 1 cup to make me full. I am sticking to the foods list from my Dr. but it's just not doing it anymore. My first fill is 5/7 so still a ways off...Help? What can I do? I don't want to start gaining everything back....
  13. I really wanted a Magic Bullet however $50 seemed steep so I went with the Sunbeam Kitchen Assistant. It was under $25, and came with a TON of storage containers that have come in really handy!
  14. I looked at it on Amazon but bought The Fat Girl's Guide to Life and Hungry instead.
  15. I had to wean myself. I drank 1 liter of Pepsi each day during the week and closer to 2 liters a day on the weekends. I loved fountain so thats what I gave up first...replaced it with bottled for a week. Then I replaced the bottled with canned (my least favorite). I didn't even need a full week of canned, it tasted odd and I never finished a full can. So surgery day I had been caffeine and bubble free for almost a month. The night before surgery I took a sip of my husband's Mt Dew..... it just wasn't the same even more. Yuck!
  16. Well put, sorry to have duplicated seems we were posting at the same time!
  17. Simplified: Anytime we put something (water to steak) in the stomach it feels like it MUST knead and churn these... it doesn't know the difference from one item to the other. The more solid the food the more it will work at it. The kneading and turning is what can cause problems, undoing or loosening the stitches that tack the band in place.
  18. Sounds perfectly normal.... I know....NOT what you wanted to hear! Walk walk walk... that and time seem to be the only things that relieve it. Are you still on clear liquids?
  19. Yum! The queso dip is in my top 10 foods- I was wondering what I could make with it! Thanks for the tip!
  20. Such a great thread! I bought the smallest Glad-type bowls I could find but these are such great ideas! I'm off to ebay and then check out Costco tomorrow.
  21. Add me to the list! Mine told me the benefits (being blood clot free) far outweigh the risks (continuous period)....so here I am due for surgery Tuesday and due for my TOM Wednesday. Ugh. He also says no BC pills for 30 days post op as well.
  22. I was diagnosed like 6 years ago maybe? My insurance does have an exclusion in the WLS criteria that your thyroid needs to be in normal range for so long before approval but my surgeon's wonderful nurse got around it be addressing it right away... I'm not sure what she said but it worked! And something your PCP may or may not tell you - always take the medication alone on an empty stomach (either early in the morning or right before bed) they messed with my dose for over a year before telling me this, and it made a huge difference (4 or 5 points) once I started taking it the right way.
  23. Thanks so much everybody- there just seem to be so many avenues for the same goal. I wasn't told to limit calories, just do something "Atkins type"... I have a bunch of Medifast left from my last attempt so maybe I will go that route for everything but dinner... just to take the drama out of it. I appreciate everyone's input! I'm off to take my Vitamins (some super expensive Rx B combo) and get a good night's rest. Only 8 more days if I go to bed right now!:mad2:
  24. Is it the high protien or the low carb piece of the puzzle that does the lilver shrinking? I know that most high protien diets are automatically low in carbs... but is it the protien or the lack of sugar really doing the work? I am so freaking tired! In the last 3 weeks I have given up my Pepsi addiction so to add the low carb on top of that is just draining me! I'm not asking for a piece of cake just throw me a wheat thin for goodness sake! Grrrr!
  25. Yes there are 3! My insurance wanted me to use one of them b/c they are all "in network".
