    Will pills get stuck?

I was sent home from the hospital with regular size Percocet that I was able to take with no problems-even right after surgery. I can also take regular size tylenol with no crushing and no problems. (I have not had a fill yet and am 3 1/2 weeks out.)

    Will pills get stuck?

I haven't had any problems taking Vitamins. I used Flinstones chewables. They are kind of yummy. I tried liquid vitamins, but they were so nasty the thought of drinking it made me heave. I am still looking for a chewable Calcium that tastes decent. I bought one that was "vanilla" flavored that was horrible and I have pretty much avoided calcium. P.S. My NUT warned me to not start taking calcium until I was up to the full 64 oz of Water a day to prevent kidney stones.
  4. Suzanne! I am so glad you posted. I was banded on 1-3-08 and I have been discouraged as I have not lost ANY weight at all this week. I have been following ALL of the band rules including walking at least 2 miles a day and eating 3 meals of 2 oz! with no Snacks. I am so glad someone else is having this problem. I have been counting calories and I am averaging about 350 a day and it just doesn't seem fair that I am not losing. I guess I am just efficient at storing everything eaten. Hopefully we will both see our efforts pay off soon Thanks for sharing!

    Soreness

I was banded on 1-3-08 and the gas pain was the worst. It went away about a week and a half after surgery. I still have occassional sharp, shooting pains near my port. It feels like someone is stabbing me with a knife! It isn't consistent but it sure hurts when it happens!

Can only sleep on my back

I had a terrible time trying to sleep on either side after my band. I would basically move from the recliner to the bed every 3-4 hours because that is all I could stand to lay on my back in one position. One thing that really helped me is using extra pillows and blankets to help support my stomache. I would basically wad up a blanket and put it along side me, so when I rolled to the side I would not be completely over and no part of my stomach would shift down toward the bed. Then I would but a pillow between my legs to help support my back. The blankets helped my incisions so they weren't stretched. It was much more comfortable for me to sleep on the side where my port was not. Hope this helps...I know it is terrible not not be able to get comfortable! I am wishing you a good night's sleep!
  7. Sorry, I can't be of more help, but I wanted to respond anyway. I was banded on 1-3-08, but I don't think they used glue...I am not really sure...but all four of my little incisions look awesome. They are almost completely healed. I don't know if that is normal or if I am lucky. One thing that I have heard repeatedly is that you are not supposed to use neosporin on surgical wounds.....I just left mine with regular bandaids. Hope yours start healing fast!
