I have been over weight my entire life. I have tried every diet known to man. I have no trouble losing the weight. I just cant maintain. My BMI was low...35 but I have 4 co-mobidities. Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesteral and sleep apnea. I was extremely happy with my insurance company for allowing me to have this surgery.
My journey has been amazing. My pre and post op experience was awesome. Never had much pain after surgery. Did have slight nausea. Only in hospital 2 days. I have been tolerating the blended diet with no problems. I try to walk on the treadmill at least once a day. I had my surgery on March 7th. I weighed in at 191 and presently am at 165. I will never look back. Very happy I had the surgery.
I will say that this site has been extremely helpful to me.
